I finally bought myself a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab 2.7L 4X4. A 4 cyl. 4X4 Tacoma hasn't been available for sale in Canada since 1995. 2009 is the first year it's been in our order guide since. I'd recomend this truck to anyone. (unless you have kids, need a back seat, or plan on towing more than 3500lbs.)
My personal advice is to purchase some sort of running board. Not that you really need a step, but I've sold enough of these trucks to know that after the first year or so you'll start to see your rocker panels are becoming sand blasted.
If any of you have any product knowledge questions.....feel free to ask.

I definetly think protecting your Taco against rust is a priority.
Crown is a very popular rust protection spray here in Canada. They will provide a lifetime warranty against rust on one condition; you return every year to pay for another spraying. Price per spray varies from $120-140/spray. Most Toyota dealerships supply products from Sym-Tech. These products are not cheap, but also come with lifetime warranties and do not require annually check ups or re-sprays. Check it out here: http://www.sym-tech.ca/products.php

Toyota Dealer accessories do not have enough mark-up to get excited about. You're not missing out in much by paying full retail. My advice, is when inquiring about accessories, ask the parts advisor if there are any clearance items currently on "Infostream?"
