Anything is fine as long as it works.

Does your design 12.0 have a telescoping handle? I might make one of these

Lol, well it's not leaking anymore. At least not the fan. I drilled some small holes between where I thought the water was coming in the house an the fixture. Now at least I can dry out the fan before one of my kids flips that switch by accident

I forget where you are, but I helped my brother-in-law pick up his at Boston Lawnmower Company, in Westborough.
    http://www.bostonlawnmower.com/
They had dozens of them 50-60 ready to go between the showroom and storage area. They specialized in Ariens machines as well. It was an impressive amount

For those fighting with ice dams like i have.
I was up on my roof clearing snow for most of the morning when a roofer drove by and gave me some great advise.
He said, using an axe cut channels every 8 feet, but not all the way to the shingles just to give the rainwater and melting snow a place to drain and run off. The more rain and/or run off you get the wider they'll become until they eventually melt away.
I've been using every tool I've got in my arsenal and never once thought about using the ax, maybe sounds counter intuitive.
Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed this helps with my leak issues. Tonight will be the true test. As soon as I did the ones along the front I immediately saw water dripping through so that was a good sign to me.

Yup that is a good way to go. I did the same before with a hammer and small chisel.

If you can't find it locally then definitely try my guy..my Simplicity 24 was about 900 and is a monster.

    I vote plow truck. :D

    Edit: Or maybe this instead:

It's located in Kingfield; I've actually seen it blow snow before (Farmington is less than an hour from Kingfield) when I was living up that way. It's pretty sweet watching it cut through a 4 foot drift like there's nothing there, and it's impressive watching it toss said drift 50 feet out of the way.

Not sure if it was $15k worth of sweet, but different strokes for different folks (ones with more $$ than me, haha!!)

Fun driving around my city today. Lots of potholes. At least some have cobblestone underneath. Some streets have huge puddles hiding those potholes.
