I have had no issues in any snow conditions and I've seen it all this winter!
I'm running narrower tires so that helps on the hard packed so I can't speak for the wider 285's. They have proven themselves soft, light, wet, slush, ice, deep snow.

snow camping with just a tarp and my toyota

Gotta say one thing that irks me about the tacomas is the lack of ability to chain up all four wheels without wheel spacers. I was able to put low clearance cable chains on all four wheels in this picture - back when I only had 31x10.5x15's but with my new 33"s its impossible to clear the UCA, even with cable chains.

Got some good snow today. Boogie3478 (left) and I. Only got stuck once but the ARB snatch strap worked like a charm. Worth every penny! First two pics are boogies truck. Last two mine.

Haha. to be fair, boogies truck broke through some ice and he was up against a huge ledge of ice at the fronts. His right side was on solid ice so no tire would have grip there. Was a good time!

Lol, it wasn't the snow so much as the perfectly spaced 20 inch pits I found myself in which didn't let me rock the truck at all.

Do you see much of a glare off your hood?

    Looks sick!

    Thanx Dude!

yea there's still glare from the snow laying on the hood and from the falling snow, but less with the amber lenses. Contemplating derping the center of my hood to cut glare when snow isn't relevant
