The part I dislike about having Donahoes (ICONs) on the DD Tundra is having to get them rebuilt every 25 - 30,000 miles. They always start to leak about 20,000 miles of use.

    wow man, you're kidding.

see that was another worry of mine... the bilsteins can't be rebuilt. i figured icon or fox coils had an edge over these new bilsteins because of the fact that they can be rebuilt.

but if its every 20k miles...wtf. i dont mind wrenching but having to swap out suspension components so often seems like a huge pain in the ass.

A TRD OR built into a Baja/PRO hybrid

I'm pretty sure it's still steel braided, just wrapped in something similar to heat shrink tubing.

    Nice truck OP!!!!

Also consider that they state that most Bilstein shocks if not abuse will last as long your truck. I have a buddy of mine with bilstein 5100s and has 60k miles on his tuck without a single issue with his shocks.

Thanks man, I love the color of your truck. I wish the pro would come in that color.

That they can be rebuilt was one reason I bought them in the first place. Now it's a pain. Every year or two for me swapping back in the old coilovers so I can get the other set rebuilt. Good thing I kept the originals which have about 100,000 miles on them and still work.

My hope is the 9100 series Bilsteins that came on the Baja last for 100,000.

Hey guys, So after taking my truck off roading and going through some mud puddles my truck was covered in mud.. Looked pretty good! Anyways, the next day I took my truck to the car wash and sprayed it all down.

Since, my rear leafs have been squeaky?! I have no modifications to the rear. Is this something the dealer should fix? I think it is crap that after one time off roading and getting her dirty the rear springs are squeaky. I mean its all the time. It sounds like a teenagers bed who recently found out how to give himself five.

I know there is some remedies to fix squeaky rear leafs, but with my truck having only 500 miles without any modifications is this something that the dealer should fix under warranty?

    A few bolts are different.
If I were the service manager I would politely tell you to go give yourself five. There are consequences and maintenance that come after the fun. Washing the mud out better is your responsibility.

Thanks a lot, I washed the truck twice super clean now. I believe that the reason they are squeaky is not because of the mud, but rather getting the leafs wet.

There was no squeaking during off roading or right afterwards, even when covered in mud, it was after I washed it. A 30k+ truck built to go off road should not sound as such after 500 miles and one time off roading and two good car washes.

Hi Urban Warrior! I tried to initiate a conversation, but somehow could not go through. Anyway.
I am on my way to purchase an Undercover SE flip up tonneau cover and wanted to learn from your experience beforehand, since you own one since 2015.
So, please forward any comment about your experience you feel useful.
