First, 6000k doesn't refer to brightness.
Second, make sure to aim them properly
    Third, don't flash cops :anonymous:

Debadged is the way to go. Including vinyl, stickers etc. Unless they are paying me for the space on my truck. No stickers.

Did that tonight. One was coming off an exit slow rolling. Really slow in an unmarked. Almost caused an accident. Lit him up with the 40" right as he pulled off onto 'private property' - I followed and made sure he knew I was there. Did the complimentary one finger wave. Rightly so, he pulled to the side then promptly got on my ass. At that point I hadn't broken any laws since I was on private property. Parked, then got out and had a conversation with him on distracted driving and the hazards of it. He was apparently talking on his phone and apologized to me. I gave him the plate number of the vehicle he almost caused the accident with and told him that I do not accept his apology, he needs to apologize to the person he scared the shit out of and be a better roll model for the rest of the motorists on the road. He tried to be buddy buddy with me at this point and I had to send him on his way. "Not your friend, not going to be your friend, be more responsible, handle your business. Carry on" Walked in and bought my milk as he shook his head in agreement and drove off.

Dick move on my part. Not my place. Pro LEO site. Whatever. People are people and some need to be set straight from time to time. One almost hit me a few weeks ago doing the same thing @ 3-4 in the morning. He might have been falling asleep. Shit happens around me and I don't like seeing it anymore.

Touch up paint and a nice buffer if trying to clean up some trail pin striping.

Some of the stickers are classy. They need to express a persons personal tastes in my opinion. Not just the gear they have. If the manufacturer of the item puts their name on their gear, nice. If they actually have it engraved, burned/ permanent on it not a sticker. Nice. Thats the way it should be. Paint, Anodized, etc. No stickers.

An Idea I had for an Overland Type wrap or sticker was a Map of the world. Then as a place is visited or road driven, marked on the map in some fashion. Antiqued Style map. Marking off places with paint marker pens paint on the vinyl.

Well...I agree to a point. I'm def gonna remove the new badge, and possibly a few of the window stickers. I'm keeping my Toyota Tacoma and TRD badge though...:D

I routinely report the cops in my area. Hasn't changed a thing. Last year, a cop was doing 100+mph on city streets in foggy conditions at night. Wasn't on a call or anything. Simply driving like a douche. He hit something and was ejected from his patrol car. The police still haven't learned and drive over the speed limits and cut people off all day long. I support the police, I just wish they would calm the shit down.

You'll be fine still adjusting my lights
He flashed me and I flashed back but he said he never saw me flash high beams. Thought I could have been a drunk driver.

Nice gear! The 8800 is a great radio. What are your antenna plans?

Yeah, I have the 8800 in another vehicle. I will also be using one for the house too. For the truck I will be using a Larsen NMO-2/70 black. The Uniden, I will be using a Larsen NMO-QC. I was going to get their 3 phase 150/450/800 antenna but a friend of mine suggested I use a 1/4 wave 2m antenna instead. He had tried the exact antenna I wanted to get but had better reception with the 1/4 wave. I will have to see for myself. Both are NMO mounted so I could borrow his to see if their will be a difference for me.
