    If you've played hockey you'd know that warm rinks have terrible ice. It'd be no different with an outdoor rink in California. The surface of the ice gets soft and chips down to the harder ice underneath. It blows to skate on it and you can get hurt if you catch an edge wrong. Standing water also catches the puck, which can lead to lots of weird plays occurring.

    The opposite is also true though. The rinks and outdoor surfaces where you think you are going to lose your toes to frostbite usually have amazing ice.

    This whole thing is why I think these outdoor games are stupid , game is boring , no crowd interaction , ice is the shits , and big deal 70 000 people but they're all a mile away from the game

    I kinda liked the games where it was snowing and it started to pile on the ice. It was cool to see how the players had to change there game to a different era when they weren't able to dangle so much and the whole play slowed down a notch.

    Other than that I'm sick of how many outdoor games there are. They should have 1 each year in a different cold weather city. That's it.
