Bought it cheap off of Craigslist like that. Its a dumb design and can't move the axle much since the frame starts narrowing almost immediately in front of the leaf hanger..

I'll fab something up at some point....Good thing its light.

    The FSM isn't much help:

    IMG_0279_zps2bki6epg_5c599fad244ff1e617fcdd15fd7852763618f704.jpg

Is it just the front signals or are the rear ones doing it too?

I'm not exactly sure of the harness layout but if it is only the fronts, I'd look at from the body ECU forward to the signal housings.

If it is both front and rear, I'd look at the body ECU back to the signal stalk.

Otherwise, not much help without getting eyes on it.

    Slander built....lol

The rear case is an inchworm lefty adapter with a marlin 30spline chromo output, 4.7gears, AA heavy duty reduction housing, with a crawl box containing 2.28gears and mated up with a marlin mc07xd adapter. It also has RAD design triple sticks and marlin 23 total spline inputs throughout.
There's better pics of it in my build thread below.

Went with 883 and Dakars in the rear. Ordered kit from Toytec, came with all hardware except rear brake line which is dangerously stretched. Had to order one from wheelers today. Rides great other than the vibration from front of rig think it might be caused by CV angle.

Did you put axle shims, carrier bearing drop, or front diff drop?? Aren't the 883's the most heavy duty ome springs? If they are then you should have a little more weight up front like a bumper and a winch or somethin.

No wanted to see how bad vibes if any i got after lift. But vibration is felt more in front of truck from 25 - 30 mph. Even with diff drop angle pretty bad. It also goes away slightly when in 4 wheel drive.

IMO it sounds like you need axle shims buddy. Should grab some 3degrees, I got mine from toytec. I had the exact same issue. You might also have to mess around with a small carrier bearing drop to fine tune it.

So you did install the diff drop then though?

Ah well this shouldn't affect the vibes really.. Just gunna be pretty stiff in the front till you get the bumper.

Thanks for the info, going to go monkey on it for a bit now. Have to make a 3 hour drive home here in a few hours, so hoping to figure it out.

Anyways, when the headlights are turned on, both front and rear drivers side turn signals turn on solid (no flashing) as well as the dash indicator light. I also noticed driving this morning if I turn on the left turn signal with the headlights off, the dash lights (and probably the headlights) flash with the turn signal.

Edit: right turn signal seems to work normally.

Edit 2: just found this thread that explains the exact same problems:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/141407-turn-signal-stuck.html

going to pull the trailer light controller before I do anything else.

Removed the trailer light wiring and the problem appears to be fixed. I'll report back if it happens again.

Anyone got any ideas on where to mount my pods? I seen the cbi off-road mounts but I don't want them. Was wondering if anyone has done them in the bumper on a first gen
