Excellent question, and sorry for the confusion.

The cross bars are not included. The package deal is $300 for the basket and two bars.

Ha! It's 11 degF where you are and that's warmer than yesterday. That made me laugh.

It was -22°F when I went to work yesterday morning. My truck was angry that I even turned the key.

Ugh! I've lived in TX since basically 1990 (a couple of summer jobs earlier), and I've never seen it get below zero. Maybe it's happened in the panhandle, but not here. Now heat...we've got plenty of that.

Got it assembled with pics. UPS hadn't done the box any favors, but everything inside the box was fine. Straight forward assembly. I did put all the nuts facing inside the box, but I think you could do it either way. I also didn't put the plastic "nuts" facing up, but put them under the box. My plan is to get a folding cover and I want to keep everything level with the bed. Last pic is for you guys up north...

I put quite a big of my weight on the entire assembly as well as dropped bags of various things into it of 40-ish lbs and it all seemed solid. I'm happy with this thing. I may be most happy with the fact that my propane tanks will fit right in it.

I did get the wife eye-rolling...

Hey Chad, you did have some holes in the sides that appeared to be for more bolts - dividers?

You never answered my question about those other square holes in the side panels - dividers?

Also, how much weight do you think the standard bars can hold?

    Whoops, sorry about that.

The extra square holes are for a future integrated toolbox!!

It has yet to be determined how much weight the standard bars can hold, but people have really put them through the paces.
