Picked up an OEM Tacoma bed mat today off CL for $60 and a 15min drive:D.Happy, been looking for a while. Ordered a 4x4 switch illumination kit too. Really happy about that too, thought they didn't exist anymore and I stumbled across a thread for them.

Just take them out. I read somewhere you can pop them out through the drl bulb hole, cut them up, and remove them piece by piece.

Interesting. I accidently popped one out, but was just going to remove them when I black out the headlights. Didn't know you could cut them up somehow. Seems difficult

Gave the Tacoma a bath after I installed new rock sliders. Had a local guy in Vancouver WA build them. I had him build the kick out a little longer so it covers the whole rear door so the little ones can use it as a step. A tall step... I couldn't be happier, they turned out great! I hope he doesn't mind if I give him a shout out. I found him on Craigslist. website: http://www.marshallfabrication.com

I also have an ICOM IC-7000 that I can do a quick swap in the event I want/need high power rig (the ICOM's main purpose is setup as self sufficiant pack rig but is setup to be quickly moved between pack/mobile/base operations). with the power outlet in the bed I can quickly setup a portable base and I have portable base antenna's that can be setup in 5 minutes.
