They are Tepui and I sell Tepui. Simple as that. I might even be able to offer a bit of a discount. :)

Can one of you Tepui people get a pic of the bottom of the tent for me - specifically showing where the mounting rails are at in relation to the edge of the tent? Just curious....

    YEah that works....
was trying to compare the rails on a tepui to my CVT bachelor (kukenam would be the closest model i think)
one of the guys on t4r.org used some smittybult brackets to mount his tepui to his roof - no rack, rails, etc just the brackets. but he must have moved the tent's rails closer to the edge -- i was thinking that the tepui rails came mounted further apart but they look the same or close to what my cvt has.

something like this is what he used. just trying to figure out if I could make something similar work for my rig

Maybe Adam could chime in here but the tent rails add to the rigidity of the mounting system. If you moved them nearer the edges, you might lose the support in the center of the tent and the whole thing might sag a bit.

Got a pic of the 4runner you are talking about? Or a link to the build thread?

Looks like that would work just fine. He has enough of them that they should support it the same. I never under stood why the tents have those giant rails.

Well he still use the rails on the tent but not the rails or crossbars of the vehicle. The brackets that slide into the tent rails bolt to those smittybilt brackets. Very low profile.

Why not just mount the tent directly to those? Loose an inch of height probably? Looks like those can be undone to dismount the tent if needed. Just reinforce the base some how.

That is true but the bars probably help with some rigidity so it doesn't sag over time.
