My grandma was cleaning out her house last week and came across a bag of old Moon Traveler bottle rockets. Apparently those cannot be bought in SC anymore. :( We went out and shot some of them and while they're not very loud I would really like to have some of these to mess around with. Everywhere online has a ridiculously high shipping rate (about $125) if you order less than $400 worth of stuff. I'd really like to get about 10 packs of these. Can anybody offer some advice or help me out trying to get these???

Are they legal in NC? We might be goin up to Virginia in a couple weeks so that might work. Are they legal in GA? We're right on the SC GA state line so that would be the easiest thing to do

Nope ya can't get them in Ga. All we have here is little crappy stuff that sits on the ground and showers sparks. Alabama has bottle rockets.

I would've thought those would've been legal in good ole SC. :D When we were up in the mountains in NC for the 4th we tried to buy some fireworks and they literally had nothing that exploded. NOTHING!!! Are you sure those would be legal in NC?

Maybe I've tried to beat around the bush too much. Is anybody near one of these places that would be interested in buying about 10 packs for me and shipping them. I'd pay for the rockets, your shipping cost, and throw in some extra to make it worth your while.

Sorry in advance if this is a big deal and illegal... Just thought I'd ask

Yeah I figured that. I think I read somewhere that UPS & fedex won't ship them. I guess I'll have to wait til we head up towards NC... I wonder if the guy that owns a little fireworks store would get them for me. He's privately owned and probably would. I think it's illegal to "sell" them in SC but he might order a couple packs for me with his next order.

I was looking at the usps web site and couldn't find anything about what was accepted. Didn't check fed ex or ups...

I found a place way down in Stuart Fla, that sold really good fireworks. I guess you could call it almost semi-pro. Guy had found a legal loophole. Fla. law says you can't shoot off his kind of stuff in Fla. Funny, but Fla. law doesn't say anything about selling it Fla. You can buy it there but you can't shoot it or carry out of the state legally. At least that's what the owner told me.

I know the mailman won't and I'm thinking the same with UPS. I know about FedEx 'cause they're the ones who sign my check :D. Best thing to do is call the places I gave you in the links and ask them.

I take it you work for FedEx?? I realize that they are hazardous and it was probably stupid to ask someone to do this. We got through Charlotte on our way to VA (gotta stop at Bass Pro Shops :D) so I'll probly make a pit stop at the phantom place you posted a link to... As long as you can tell me they do have those Moon Travelers or something equivalent b/c it is in SC.
