I figure most likely it won't walk off but I don't really want to take the chance. It will be nice being able to disconnect it and throw it in the back seat. Seems like the external lock version is better and has less problems. Thanks again for that link.

Almost anything of value just walks off in San Francisco and Oakland. I don't leave a god damn thing in sight in my truck, parked in my driveway in Oakland. The only thing besides the regular interior are floormats. NOTHING else is in sight. Almost every day on my walk or cycling commute to work I see at least one broken window - smash and grab.

Has anyone used Kenda Klever tires? A tire shop near me has started a special sale, and this are the featured tire. I have read a lot about them, and have found very few bad reviews. I know Kenda is a bike/ATV tire brand, and is breaking into the auto market, but at less than $700 for a set of 285s, it's hard not to throw my money at them. What do you guys think? It would be nice to get honest, "live" opinions.

After getting my spring stolen I added security hardware to all my lights. Didn't have locktite with me at the time, but that'll be next too.

It's the Mass Airflow Sensor, depending on the year of your truck, it could be dirty or may need to be replaced entirely. I had the same problem a few months back and i got a new one from Toyota (some people do restorations for those sensors, but I think it's worth it to get a new one altogether)

Don't forget to put a lighter or torch in the toolbox to be able to work on it later on the trail... "removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C)"

I dont know why everyone is so afraid of loctite. I use red on ALL suspension bolts (and a lot of other places) and it takes a little more effort to remove but nothing that has ever required heat or special tools.

I am not sure how loctite would deter any thief unless for some reason its a thief that is going around looking for loose nuts that can be removed by hand
