I've ran Rug Road 5 times so far, and in all those runs, I've never seen water at all in that wash at camp, let alone THAT much water!

Yea that was my fourth time in there and it was pretty kick ass to have water in turkey "creek". Lol . I love falling asleep to the sound of running water.

Skid plate bashing, or slider pounding, but if finding a good line avoids most of this then off we go. Just judging this fron the one photo you posted, looks much worse than at the Mall.

I don't have sliders, and I may have kissed my skid plate once.

It's not really as bad as it looks. But then again, it depends on driver opinion and skill level. Matt used his sliders a couple times I think, and I hit a diff on a rock once. But yes, any bad spots can be spotted through :)

I may have kissed a slider once or twice but nothing sticks out in my mind. It all comes down to picking the right lines

How's the pinstripping? Asking for Desert Drifter. He hasn't asked about that.

Sounds good, I have a few pin stripes now, but would appreciate some guidance through the roughest spots.

I drove all the trails I could in a 2WD truck for 20 years before getting my (4WD) Tacoma and did it by installing a good posi, picking a good line, and keeping up some momentum. But I knew when to say NO. Rug Road sounds like a great trip and some fine scenery, I can't wait. (and will have some recovery gear onboard).

There was some areas where pinstriping may be an issue. Ant some low hanging branches for the rtt guys. But Matt didn't have a problem with his tent.

Pinstripping is inevitable on this trail. Just being honest. But it doesnt show up on silver as bad as it does on the darker colored trucks. You'll be ok as long as youre not super sensitive about it.

Just a bunch of old crap
My bed rack is the tallest I've seen (cab height) and my RTT just barely cleared the larger branches. My antenna was a bigger PITA, but I've since installed a Firestik on a spring so that's not an issue anymore.
