The blower just started chriping in my 09 today so, just to clarify so I dont drop $100 plus on this new 044 model and have it not fit. Does anyone have the new model 044 in a 2009 yet? On the toyota parts zone link I put in my vehicle info and it said it will NOT fit.

This site lists the 043 blower motor as a match for the 08-14's, so I dont see why the new 044 revision wouldn't fit the 08-14's. But I may just get the 043 unless some on chimes in that the new 044 version will work on older models.

I think that the website has not updated its compatibility settings, as the part is new. I can't see how the 044 will not fit, while a 043 will fit. Makes no sense. I think a phone call to a dealership parts guy, would probably solve your problem.

I just installed this into my 2009 Tacoma and I love it!

    image_zpsd5w294dk_127d029d4fe18e1310707d6f3ec7720bfbc11083.jpg

For $116 I'm completely satisfied with the difference it has made. I went from only being able to use the fan on high if I wanted to not hear chirping to finally being able to use all four settings. Don't get me wrong though, the new fan is not "whisper quiet" as you can still hear it running (especially with the radio off) but I no longer hear any high pitched bearing noise which is a big relief to my ears!

Yeah, it was bad. I couldn't handle the high pitched "chirp" coming from the fan when it was on the lowest two settings then on the third setting it sounded like it was out of balance or about to come apart. Whenever my wife rode in the truck with me she'd get so mad because I'd either have the fan blasting warm air on the highest setting or I'd have it off, there was no in between. That and with this killer cold spell we've been having, my drive to and from work had become super annoying because once the engine warmed up it only took a few minutes with the fan on high before the truck would get so hot that I'd have to turn it off then somewhere around five to ten minutes later I'd be freezing and have to turn it back on...

Will the 044 new motor fit a 2005? I would think so but just asking. Mine has been replaced and still makes that awful noise on low.

One of the benefits of getting old, mine chirps like a bastard on our 2010,but my ears are so shot I can't even hear it. Not sure how loud it is, but it drives my kid's crazy enough to complain about it all the time. My 2007 doesn't chirp at all, at least I don't think so....

The squeaky motor was driving me nuts. Went to Autozone and dropped $70.00 on a new one. Pulled out old motor, put in new one, did not work on any speed. Pulled out new one, put in old one, did not work. I'm thinking...fuse?....relay?...resistor?.... Check the fuse...blown. Back to Autozone for a fuse. Get home, replace fuse, old squeaky motor works great!!! Pull out old motor, put in new one....nothing. Check fuse.....blown. Pull out new motor, put in old one, drive back to Autozone, return new motor, buy new fuse, go home, replace fuse....live with squeak. Mod failure.

Pay a little over $100 and order the newer OEM blower online and really be done with it.
