Yeah yeah. I'm honestly probably going to to creeper joint hangers again and make some longer shackles to keep ride height for now. Ideally I'd like to lower it about an inch

Let me know how they do, I'm tempted to do those when I go 63s out back. But may not go that route since I plan on linking rear next year

They do great. I've had them in the back of the 82 since I built it lol. It lets everything move more freely and is easier on bushings

What thickness steel did you use to make your shackles? I feel lik I have all the stuff to build everything at work. And really don't want to spend all the money on the ruff stuff kit esp. When it's just temp.

I made my shackles out of 3/8" flat stock. I made the shackle hangers for the ballistic joints out of 1.5"x1.5' square tube

Ahh ok lol I've got horizontal and vertical bansaws, breaks that can bend anything up to 1" and basically anything you can think of to fabricate at work lol

Thanks man that helps! Any cat guru's know if pushing the cat closer to the header pipe will affect anything or throw any codes? It looks like i can bump it forward in-front of the tcase flange and everything should clear.

The 82 has been reduced to an RTI ramp tsk tsk :p. I'm :jellydance:though, wish my driveway was full of that much win.

I wouldn't think it would matter as long as you still have room for the first o2 sensor. My first o2 sensor is actually in the header. I put the cat where I did so it's protected by the crossmember. The cat on my 82 is beat up pretty good even though it's tucked up right at the frame.

Haha I guess it's still good for something... It would look better in your driveway ;)

Well got it off the pavement for the first time. Mostly just cruised around but I did find a nice washed out hill that I had to try a few times. Finally got up it in 2.28 low second gear pinned
