Can't you just pop in a hi-cap SD card to boost what it can hold? I had to do that with my phone, since it only holds 4gb out of the factory. I'd take 20 pictures and run out of room, so I stuck a 16gb micro-SD card in and now I've got storage for something like 4000 pictures.

I usually wait until the RPMs drop below 1000 at idle. The 6spd doesn't like taking off from a cold start.

Nope, you can't expand the kindles memory. I have a 64gb in my phone for that very reason though, well really just so I can have a crap load of storage on it. My note 3 has 32gb internal, so I've got 96gb storage on my phone...

I'm not too concerned about it idling. I just like it to be warm because I hate driving with a coat on

I'd prefer to stick with a kindle since I have prime and use the instant video pretty frequently. You can't download the prime/ rental/ bought videos for offline viewing onto non kindle devices

    Well that's a lame-ass design...
"let's only put 8gb in something designed to hold books and movies, without the option to expand it later!"

Means they can sell you another one in a couple of years, haha.

Sounds very familiar to the Apple business model yet people keep buying them... Makes you wonder, who's the issue here, the manufacturers or the people buying them?

Pretty much. I've had my current one since '11. I think it's served pretty well, especially for an electronic device. Plus back then 8gb was actually a pretty decent amount of space

Both. People are idiots and companies are greedy.

 I'm always critical of Apple, but Amazon does the same stuff for sure.

    Lol.
Just got an email notification about my motorcycle insurance…

“Congratulations! Your rate has gone down for this year!”

No shit, Progressive. I went from insuring two motorcycles to only insuring one… Of course it went down…

    :der:

We have both the "old" one and I just won an HD7 at the company party this winter. I would say the HD7 is much faster then the old one. Also, a bunch of the new games (Angry Birds Epic being one...don't even get me started!!:goingcrazy:) won't work very well on the old one. I would say it has better battery life as well...

Just my 2 cents but if they are on sale for a good price it would be worth it for long trips.

We also stayed with the Kindle for the Amazon connection...we buy way too much stuff on Prime to switch...
