The newly added plate on the frame that looks like a "x" and those bars connecting from cross member to frame is for head on crash to meet with stricter guidelines. If you look at crash test videos on youtube where they showed the under carriage on (2012-2014 Tacoma) it somewhat buckles in that area, hence also why they made cab mount on frame beefier. Only logical explanation or else they would waste time on it.

That's because it's an unfinished truck. They want to show the world the basic looks of it. No details yet.

Looks like the little compartment to the left of the steering doesn't have a door on it anymore

Now I have to find a new place to put my gum.

OEM running boards and roof rack. Yellow fog bulbs and WeatherTech mats and window visors.
My guess is, it is part of the 110 running to the truck to turn the lights on, etc. If you look forward of the rear wheels in the second to last picture, you will see an extension cord plugged in.

I liked it when I saw it in person, but I also like the first MotorTrend images as well. One thing I did notice is the hood is really long. Longer than you would think. Almost like how Nissan had to make the Titan butt ass ugly to put a diesel option in it. But, with no hope for a diesel, I doubt that is the reason they made it so long.
