    Trail-gear bearings are junk, their Trunion eliminator kit actually gets good reviews and totally eliminates the bearings. Makes it kind of like a a Dana king pin. Marlin uses a bigger pin and a stronger bearing.

    The thing that keeps sticking in my head is as you make a system stronger and stronger the next part that becomes the "fuse" in a system usually is a more expensive piece.

    Just bench racing.

    Haha, might as well just put the tons in it. And while you're at it, one of those supercharged LS motors with a TH400 (or a 700R4 if you just have to have an OD gear) in front of an NP205 T-case. One ton U-joints, .25" wall driveshafts... 3 link the front, 4 link the rear for a nice cushy ride and a mile of suspension travel... :cool:

    Then the only thing left to break is the 'Runner itself...in half, from the engine torque. :eek:

    There you go! Go big or go home. :cool: Only thing, I would change is, you should go with Iroks instead of BFGs. ;)

    Oh, and don't forget the 1 ton diesel domestic truck of your choice and a good trailer (big enough so we can put the Odd Green Taco on it as well when we go to Uwharrie, Gulches, or the Rubicon) to drag the 'Runner around to the wheeling spots. Gotta factor that in to your donation goal. :cool:

    Let's say 150k so we can do the Odd Green Taco at the same time. I'd settle for a supercharger for my 3.4L though, maybe convert it to an automatic with a crawl box and 37x14.00 Iroks. :D

    Oh, and I want to go with ORIs instead of coilovers...

    Of course. :cool: In all honesty though, I've had nothing but bad experiences with BFG tires. Every set I ever had dry rotted and separated with in a year and a half...with the hopeful exception being the ones that came on the Odd Green Taco when I bought it since I'm using a couple as spares. Consequently, BFG would be the last brand on my list of options if I was to buy anything other than an Interco. Probably go with Nitto Trail Graps or Goodyear MTRs first.

    I really enjoyed checking out the photo thread. I knew it was going to be an event I didn't want to miss. However there were several projects that I had not finished on the truck in time, and I was reminded about a week before that I had registered for, and was to attend the Wounded Warrior Project charity ride in Pensacola. I am a big supporter of that charity group. We had over 80 motorcycles on a charity ride down I-10, and to the Pensacola Harley dealership. Raised some SERIOUS cash for the group. Police escort and everything!

    Glad you all had a great time. Hopefully next year's Citrus meet will be on a different weekend!

    You know, I forget who said it, but someone pointed out that if we tell them four months in advance that 50 trucks are going to be showing up out there, they are probably going to be on high alert for suckers playing in off limits areas. Perhaps next year, we just need to stay at Holder Mine so we don't have to make reservations. We just be a like a flash mob and they'll never see it coming. :D
