Thought I would give you who are following my Truck complication process a quick update. Truck has been in Denver for a week and a half now, went to pick it up yesterday as they thought they had the problem fixed and diagnosed it as a poor quality fuel problem. They did two intake and fuel cleaning cycles on it and felt it had stopped physically producing problems, however still showed misfire codes via computer. Needless to say I went for a final test drive with the Tech prior to taking it home, and low and behold the truck acted out again. Finally this time Toyota helped me with a rental and sent me home. Today I received and email with the update from the service manager about what the field tech from Toyota HQ is having them do...

"I checked in with my Shop Foreman when I returned to get some sort of a feel as to what happened in my absence. Apparently, under the direction of our field technical specialist, we are being told to remove the cylinder heads and check the valves to see if there is any evidence of issue. We are also going to try and eliminate the onboard computer, as well as the supercharger itself. There are some different possibilities with each of those components that could potentially cause what we are having here. So that’s the direction we are headed. I promise that I will keep you informed as we go along, and will touch base with you tomorrow when I get more information!"

Just want to say I was very happy with my experience yesterday even though I had to drive 3.5 hours to have to come home with yet another rental. The tech dedicated to my truck is Ryan. He was very courteous, and professional and committed to finding out what is wrong with my truck. He and others there say they have never dealt with a Taco doing what mine is doing, nor have the techs from HQ. So they are doing all they can to come up with a solution. The Service manager(s) involved with me so far have been doing great in communicating with me and keeping me updated. HQ on the other hand is still on my (not sure what to think of them) list haha. Anyway! Thanks for the help all of you on here have provided.

So I got rear ended today sitting in a left turn lane waiting to turn. The Son of the bitch behind me wasn't paying attention, stepped on the skinny pedal and wanted to test out my brakes. Good thing my bed and bedsides weren't on yet. But my frame with all the new steel held up and everything still looks good. The frame worked like a pitch fork and messed him up pretty bad. He now has two tacoma frame holes in his front F150 bumper. So I put the truck into park to step out side to see what the damage was. When I got back inside the truck to pull over, the truck was stuck in park because both rear lights got smashed. This cool tow truck driver popped up this little piece of plastic next to my shifter and pressed this white button down and was able to take the truck out of park. I didn't know about that little trick. Any ways now I have to rewire my tail lights and get new tail light housings out of pocket. Then try and get the money back from this guys insurance..... whatever. I'm trying to figure out how to end this on a positive note. Hummmm truck frame work stood strong :D

I'm trying the Rocky mountain root beer now. The Virgil's was good but I think I like this one better. It has a stronger flavor, I should add I liked the smoothness of the Virgil's though so far.

What do F-150s have against our trucks? Glad everything turned out ok. I didn't know the truck wouldn't come out of park with no taillights. weird

Yeah that was the first I herd of it. At least the tow truck driver wasn't going to take avantage of me and told me about that. Good karma for him coming his way.

Easy, easy. It's just a minior speed bump. Don't jinx me.

yeah have to use that little trick when installing car stereo some times to get the shifter out of the way when taking apart the dash (in my 80) and not having to have the truck on.

Yeah Eric, that's why I'm glad my fiberglass bedsides and bed was off the truck. If that got damaged I would of been more pissed.

He was saying you should "CLAIM" that it destroyed your long travel and supercharger... so they'd be replaced by that guy's insurance.... You know.. the long travel and supercharger you don't have?
