Only -4 here, but every time the temp. is on the weather channel it changes. Just -5, and have seen up to -11, now it just showed -2.
    ClOSE ENOUGH, it's cold! :(

    Morning my Esteemed Mentors

35°F at 4AM; forecast says 38°F and partly sunny today. Then clear with 30s over teens at night for the rest of this week.

Heard on news the IronDog (snowmachine version of Iditarod) racers are having a hard time on the course due to lack of snow; lot of rough gravel/grass areas.

Hope all are coping as well as possible.

Nice Paul! I've been hearing lots of good stuff about Fords lately, hopefully yours will fit into that story line. I rented an Explorer about a year ago and liked it so much I told my wife I'd be willing to buy one. It's much bigger than we need so I never will, but boy did it drive nice. Dashboard computer was a !@#$%^& to figure out but I think they all are at first, especially for folks like me that still have physical controls.

    Evening all:
Hear you Mike on the draft! It BECAME exactly what you posted, and never should have been that way. I agree with the draft, but keep it fair.

Over the past few years it has not been unusual to see a bald eagle around the Lake Erie Shore. This year, because of the winter and local food sources, there has been an unusual influx of as many as 20.

    Sue.

You have a starting point with what you have on now.
All depends on which way you want to go.
    More aggressive or roadability
    Towing, off-road.
You like what you have on now ???

Just need new tires. Ones I have, not super happy with wet traction when the bed is empty. Been looking at Michelins but $$$. Now looking at Firestone destination LE2. Have good ratings at tire rack. don't tow or go off road.

Hey Mike! My only fear in the Navy was getting hit with a Nuke!
I'm sure that a base with fleet ballistic missile nuclear submarines would have been a first target. Oh well, at least it wouldn't have hurt!

My neighbor was a draft dodger, he went to Canada, another guy I know went to college to be a teacher, ONE AND THE SAME!
One of us was on the Forrestal when it was ravaged, he was sure out of harms way, another on a river boat in Nam (Jim, who I think would slightly disagree with you about not being in harms way if he were still on here), the guys on the Cole may have a different view also, and the guys on the surveillance ship the Israelies shot up , and the Scorpion. A lot of those guys that died on those vessels may well be alive, if they hadn't joined the Navy. Just saying.

Here's a good one; I had a chance to go in the national guard, and wouldn't have had to go anywhere! Laughed at that because I was thinking about joining the Marines, I don't believe they had a lot of draftees in the Marine Corps. either.
    Then I got smart!!

Good morning all you calm, sage, wise, caring and understanding sixtys. *cough*

Sue, I got the LTX/MS2's for my Tacoma. Yep not cheap, but there are a *ton* of positive comments about them on this site. I'm not crazy about the traction in the rear of the truck either, even with the Michelins, but then I come from AWD Subarus and their phenomenal traction so I'm jaded. Folks here say to throw 100 or 200 pounds in the bed to help rear traction in slippery conditions. I haven't tried that yet but if this icy mess continues much longer I may have to.

    Morning.

I've found a bit of weight in the bed does help some.
