    You're in a good spot to try things out. I work IT and spend lots of time with IT contractors, most of them are young and love what they do. I do know that most are actually working towards their next consulting gig while they are working yours. Constantly need to look ahead for that next engagement, get your eyes out there and think one or two gigs ahead.

    I also know alot of consultants who, after 10-15 years of doing it, are ready to get into a company as an employee. Understandably, they are ready for steady work and a consistent environment.

    Don't burn yourself out and start understanding the tax man and rules, cuz he is watching you now :D
