True. But for your normal weekend camping/wheeling trip probably unnecessary

 

Plus there aren't really a lot of areas where you'd go all out expedition like they do out west in the Sierra Nevadas or Moab. I suppose you could get lost in northern Maine but you're never more than a few hours from civilization.

 

Exactly, I'd think a well packed truck bed would get you more than enough. Just pack like a backpacking trip and you'll be fine.

 

But, you guys are forgetting the 'cool' factor of towing an offroad trailer, lol.

In all reality I think it would be a blast to build one, but like Fran said I don't see one being used much personally

 

I'm redoing my utility trailer this spring/summer. Lift / bigger stronger axle / bigger tires the whole 9.

Yup already got 3 or the 1st gen wheels that match the ones I have on my truck with General AT2's mounted on them. Need to measure for wider axel with the 6 lug hubs

 

That's pretty cool. This wheels look good on second gens

 

You going to beef it up enough to carry your trail rig?

 

Maybe I'll get Alex's 17"s off him when he want's to update his wheels.

 

I think the trail rig might look funny on a 4x8 utility trailer
