How to Custom Startup and Screen Off

Usually the model number is on the lower right side of the HU . Could be that you have the 57090 model, comes with entune HD radio and no navi.

Thanks again on the info about USB , gotta look at my 2013 upgrade HU to see if it fits the newer 2014 most likely it will with a few adjustments and trimming.

Just did this. It took about 5 minutes! Pretty neat.

 

The hardest part was picking out the images......Took all of 5 minutes to set up. Pretty cool little mod.

After some experimenting I have determined that the image size should be 1440 x 768 pixels. This will fill the full screen (at least it does on my 2015 Entune Navigation screen). Other sizes are scaled and/or centered as needed.

I followed the process described on my 2014 Unlimited Tacoma and it worked just great. Even put a nude for the Off-Screen. Nice.

 

i have not figured it out on my sony XAV 712hd. help!!!

 

This thread pertains to OEM head units. You will have to refer to your owners manual for your individual radio. It may not even be possible.

 

I did have to format the thumbdrive to FAT32, create the folders as described and then it worked perfectly...
