that's what sucks about oklahoma, there is no reason to pretreat the roads as we tend to get drizzle that washes it all away before the snow actually happens. that and these dummies can't drive. I have a 2wd and stock tires, you bet your butt I was crawling home at 25mph today (fortunately on 3 miles from work). that's the main reason they let us off, people can't drive in it.

spent the weekend at my fiancé's parents place up in the mountains. they've got about a 1/8 mile driveway that gets extremely steep at the top, with a cliff off of the right side.

with 8'' of crusty snow on the driveway I made it up easily the first night. had to winch up my parents Mercedes, and my brothers Mitsubishi (both AWD SUVs)

the second night on the other had was a different story. the existing stow iced over and we got another foot of new snow. this made for zero traction. after about 10 tries, making it a little further each time, I finally made it.

at the bottom, after a few tries

    almost at the top

definitely a great place to escape reality for a few days at a time. getting down was easy. toss it in low gear, foot off the break, and let the tire grooves steer you down to the bottom.
