Not a problem sir. With those heavier springs I imagine you might end up lowering the pre load

To be fair Jberry has helped me with questions on my truck more than anyone else and doesnt ask anyone for a dime. Jberry will actually give you specific valving to try, never seen SDHQ do that. The pissing match was because SDHQ tried to correct him about dished shims when Jberry didnt say anything about shims, he said a dished piston.

Edit: I just realized both of them are named Jason lol

See below, Jberry actually posted first and then this, looks like SDHQ started the "pissing match"

I'm sure that is the case. It will be a long time before I need that heavy of a spring but at least I'm ready for it

I didn't see the quote but regardless, they both were trying to help.
I didn't think it was necessary to confuse the guy asking simple questions ya know? Dude went Bill Nye the suspension guy on him.

Not saying he doesn't by any means. I'm just saying a new user had simple question between the different brands and he just blew up on progressive vs digressive. It was like consumer math to calculus in 5 seconds. :)

Point taken.. go read it and maybe you see what I'm talking about. The guy PMd me after and I did my best to point him in the right directions. I don't think he really knew what hit him cause he was lost. Hopefully by talking with TW, DSM and SDHQ he will make the right choice.

The only way to tell the preload is by actually putting it on the truck and physically seeing it right?

Whilethe waters are calm and pants are zipped.... I have a question and would like ideas if anyone can help.

My truck has been making a whining sound for a while, it has gotten progressively worse lately and the check engine light went on. I took it in to have fluids and belts Changed for his 90k miles. The light stayed on, the whining didn't go away. I changed my air filter this weekend and the light went off, but whining is still there. All of the above may or may not be related at all but I thought I'd give a thorough Hx.

Now, the whining is louder than ever. Seems to correlate to acceleration but can be heard upon braking as well. Not heard when turning.

I know someone is going to tell me to Google it but I have, and each Dx is scarier than the last With no useful info. So I'd rather see opinions from you guys before I pay another mechanic more money than they're worth, and maybe get help from a local. I'll try to get a video. Thanks I advance

Pretty much, you can get very close from other people but different accessories like winches and armor change it

Man that week or so that I was on the hunt for trucks and swapping parts I was like his other wife. Shit, even his wife messaged me and asked if we were having an affair. Seriously, I couldn't of made this swap without his help. Brandon has been an incredible help also with getting me parts for my last truck to trade it in and cutting off my sliders on a moments notice.

    Love this community...
