At least he still does traditional lifting, too. He's still a douche now though lol

But I think the dark side he was referring to was pharmaceuticals....which Steve Cook also secretly endorses

that's why I chop wood every Saturday morning ;) that makes me sorer than anything I do in the gym

Had an interesting day at the gym today. As I was pulling into a parking spot, one of my friends came up and we started talking and I got distracted and jumped out of my truck without putting it in park :anonymous: There's a curb, about 4 feet of pine straw, a foot drop, and then the sidewalk that buts up against the gym. I jumped into my truck and hit the brake like 6" before it would've crashed into the front of the gym, which is glass panels. It was a fucking nightmare. Amy has a picture on her phone that I'll get her to send me. That's definitely the tightest my asshole has ever been. I just went home and relaxed for about an hour before going back

    Upper A:

    flat bench dumbbell flys: 3 sets of 15, 12, 12 w/ 60 lb dumbbells
incline dumbell bench: 2 sets of 12, w/ 65 lbs
    wide grip lat pulldown: 3 sets of 12, 10, 8 w/ 205 lbs
    v-grip rows: 2 sets of 10, 8 w/ 205 lbs
    single arm dumbbell overhead press: 3 sets of 12 w/ 40, 35, 35 lbs
dumbbell shrugs: 2 sets of 15 w/ 90 lb dumbbells

I've stopped using wrist wraps on my shrugs and deadlifts and my grip is getting so much stronger. I still can't grip the 125 lb dumbbells for a full set of shrugs like I could with the wraps, but I'm getting there

I did triceps with a friend; his arms are like 19", so I figured he knew what he was doing lol

    skullcrushers: 3 sets of 15, 6, 10 @ 70, 120, 90 lbs

superset (kinda): single arm tricep pushdown:

palms up right side side, palms up left side, palms down right side, palms down left side (so 4 different lifts per set)

    3 sets of 10, 12, 10, @ 50, 40, 40 lbs per arm

    hammer curls: 3 sets of 16, 14, 14 w/ 35 lb dumbbells

The mat at the bottom-right of the picture is the mat to the entrance of the gym. I was seriously like 5-6" from the glass...not one of my best moments

I think I could do that. Gripping the 125 lb Dumbbells for a set of 15 shrugs is a bitch though. I usually make it to 9-10 before my grip gives out. Ditching the wrist wraps has improved my grip tons though

hook grip, should be way easier on dumbbells seeing it's only 125 per hand

    No harm, no foul.

Not a fan of those 2 you mentioned at the end, but what about Propel? Much better IMO..the Crystal Light gives me a stomachache.

The bottled propel? I'm looking for something I can pour into a gallon jug. I'll check the prices around here and if it's cheaper than Xtend, I'll buy some
