Finally fixed my exhaust leak today and while I was at it I got this done. Much better now. :) AND I got my full steering lock back.

You know I heard about him having issues. I personally have had any issues so to speak of as of yet. I had no issues aligning the DK lowers, however, I hope you are aware that once you tack the cams there's no going back, you would also be better off getting a set of the DK heimed uppers as well. I kind of want to go that route but I already paid good money for the uppers from them so I really don't want to have to pay for some again.

Thanks man. They are pretty damn solid, the problem is I don't really have the tools to do body bushings at home other then the core support bushings, so as of right now my poly bushings are sitting in the tool box.

Hahaha. Apparently fox is out of stock on the CD adjusters (I know they are a popular seller so it's understandable). I may have to go and install them myself once they get them on the 13 or March. Not exactly what I was wanting to hear but I am happy enough just to get 2 new free revalved shocks on the house.

    Yeah exactly.
How are the adjusters added after?

It is fairly easy. Being that the shock is a smooth body its all rebuildable, even to replace the reservoir, which is what this is. It's a reservoir replacement with a shim stack which allows for better fluid/air displacement at the shock. If I was to take a very educated guess, all you would have to do is air down the shock, remove the old reservoir from its hose and install the new one. Air it back up and you now have an adjustable CD adjuster equipped shock. Assuming all the internals in the CD adjuster reservoir are preset from the factory.

    EDIT:

Scratch that. Apparently all it is, is a reservoir end cap from the hose side. Once you air down the shock, all you have to do is remove the retaining clip of the reservoir, remove old end cap and hose attaching to it, then reinstall the new end cap with the shim stack and adjuster, replace the end cap, air up and go (theoretically). Whether or not you have to reset any depth measurements or not i'm not sure about, they say you have to bleed the shock of any unwanted air, but that's why the IFP depth is set from the get go and since you are not touching that at all, I'm almost positive there shouldn't be any excess air per se.

As of right now, my projected plans for the new replacement rear shocks will be as follows:

Fox 2.0X10" stroke, same as before, but these are the revised edition shocks where the top stem is serviceable, and a stronger design over the previous edition. The only thing they will be performing for me is a valving different from stock, which is normally 30/70. I was fairly happy with that valving, the bottom outs in the rear end which I encountered under harder running conditions led me to ask them for a re valving of 50/70 which translates to a .10/.12 compression/ rebound. Should be more then plenty for what I do.

What I'm going to end up doing is retrofitting a new set of their 2.5" remote reservoir's in place of the stock 2.0's with DSC adjusters. They informed there would not be much benefit to doing this vs. cost.

Contrary to their advice, I just refuse to believe that. Playing devil's advocate here and saying that the adjuster's won't work well, or at all, some of the side effect benefit's to this retrofit will be 1. more pressure consistency, more often 2. hold's more oil volume (which according to them LACK of volume is what the problem is when attempting to do a 5/8 shock shaft to a 2.5 DSC adjuster reservoir) 3. reduction in cavitation. I have decided that I'm going to retain my 7/16 hose from the new shocks and fit them via a 7/16's to 9/16's adapter at the end of the hose line which will connect to the new reservoir 90's*. This retention of the smaller line running to said reservoirs, and the adjustability of the DSC's will keep the oil itself from frothing up during extended spirited wheeling runs.

More to come in a few days when they are delivered.

Update: Wednesday is the target day to receive everything. The revised Fox shocks fully assembled, compression adjuster reservoirs assembled and the necessary plumbing fittings to make them work.

After a really long drawn out time of research I decided that I'll be retrofitting King compression Adjusters in 2.0 remotes. After another conversation with them they recommended I run 2.0's over 2.5's because there will be very little to any benefits of running larger body cans. Due to a serious lack of information from any of the other manufacturers of how theirs are built (Fox, Radflo, and I'm not even going to THINK about Icon because of their proprietary nitro access ports) King's product is the winner, their stuff appears to be top notch built both inside and out, the cans are still of aluminum and will be utilizing increased valving to compensate for the lack of shaft displacement that my 5/8 shafts have over their 3/4 shafts.

Their new compression adjuster assembly design also already has a 90 degree style port incorporated into the design, which makes plumbing of a 7/16 hose that much easier as well. All I will need is a -6AN male x -4AN female swivel adapter made by Fragola (I got it in anodized blue, Lol) in order to run the setup without issues. I managed to find the plumbing fitting reducers from Summit Racing and look like top notch adapters for a fairly inexpensive price. Because it will look stupid having Fox shocks and King remotes, the pretty King sticker will have to come off. I will be able to buy seals for the remote assemblies themselves if I ever need to change them out. Pics and results to come this Wednesday or Thursday. :D I'm really excited!

The smallest yet most important piece of the puzzle is here before any of the other pieces. Lmao. This is why I love ordering from summit racing. It had an estimated date of Tuesday after shipping out last night and its already here xD

These finally arrived. Just awaiting the shocks themselves. Fittings mated right up to the threads no problem. :)

FINALLY they are shipped out. Just got the notice like an hour ago. Monday is the new projected delivery date. I guess boxing and packaging them for shipment takes a while.

I know the mounts suck, I don't really have much of a choice though. I can't be down the truck and I would have to start the rear from scratch, its just too complicated that I don't really have time to do. It is my daily driver and on top of that I really don't want to lose functionality of the bed by getting a cage. Maybe later down the road if something like this happens again, my situation at that time will be different for the better.

Well this is a huge tease. I tracked the package today and it is literally at a UPS store 7 miles from my house. I called to ask if I could pick it up and they stated I could not pick it up today because it is locked up in a trailer and that will not be unlocked til Monday. :(

Unfortunately I was unable to fit the compression adjusters on for the time being. The hoses off the shocks did not want to remove themselves from the reservoir end caps. For now I'll just be rocking these until I can pick up 2 7/16 Stainless steel braided Fox hoses. I do gotta say, the new shocks with the custom valving changed the entire ride dynamic in the rear end period. MUCH BETTER!

Overall impressions: Much better quality then the previous edition. The entire shock body seems to sit a little lower then previous which allows for good clearance from the hose to the upper shock mount. It also appears the Fox reservoirs are a little larger then the previous edition, as well as the rest of the shock body as well. Very nice product they got here over the previous version. Definitely seems beefier.
