Which safe is $260? I've been looking for one but think a lock box under the seat might be cheaper and good enough for when I want to leave mine in the truck.

I prefer the false bottom method. Cheaper and doesn't let anyone know "there's something in here"!

False bottom would be easy to make. Are you wanting to just conceal? That would be fine. If you need quick access, not so much.

I like that idea actually, out of sight is better than a lock in my opinion.

My wife and I both love camping. Her more so than me I think. We have a camper for the Taco to pull. And we are working on a small clamshell trailer to pull behind the Solstice for more primitive camping:thumbsup:

No doubt. They see a lock and know that's where the good shit is.

Yeah just wanting some where to keep it safe if I'm somewhere I can't carry..hmmm going to have to think on this one I love the vault, but the false bottom idea would work as well..

I love camping and have a pretty nice tent and queen-sized air mattress that I cover with a cheap sleeping bag and it works nicely for longer duration camping. Campers are nice though, but I don't have money for one.

When I really want to get out into the bush I'm on my dual sport motorcycle and have a small 2-person tent and self-inflating camping pad.

I'm also considering some kind of small locking mechanism for the rear storage bins in the access cabs under the jump seats. If I leave the jump seats down most people won't realize there's storage under there, or see the lock unless they flipped the seat up. I'd just throw the gun in there when wanting to store it.

My revolver is a bit bigger too (4" bbl) so I'm not sure it'd fit in the center console on it's side for a false bottom. Maybe it would, I'll have to clean all the crap in the console out and check the fit.

The truck tents and the rtt setups are sweet, people have some really nice ones on here.
