Looking at the dual version. But, I stick fish and game in mind when I go hunting. Can't sacrifice the space

Quite happy with my 65 qt Whynter. Been using for two wheeling seasons. So far, no troubles.

Your right. I was thinking of picking up a spare compressor to have on hand. Just in case. But its more involved tan I expected for a field service.

On another note, I have had my 85qt running for 8 months straight. Piggy backing off 12v and bringing her instead for the 120v. No issues yet.

So I picked up a 50qt ARB two weeks ago from Sierra Expeditions.

I have it currently plugged into the wall in the house. Anyone else having the thermometer seem off? I put a Taylor thermometer in there and its saying that this digital one is off by quite a bit.

I do not have the arb. and have not tested the accuracy of my thermometer. Unless the thermometer was dead center in the top, I doubt that any of these readings would bee 100% spot on. You never know where they are taking the temp from.

That was my thought. I was trying to figure out the butter zone so I don't have a bunch of frozen food when I use it. It seems to be off by about 5*. But I am still testing and need to look over the manual

They are all off by 5 to 10 degrees get a separate wireless temp gauge so you can get it accurate then you know where to set it for what you want

What gauge wire is everyone using for power to the bed? I'm thinking 10AWG.

You don't need to spend that much to get a nice fridge/freezer. I'm running a 65 qt Whynter. It has performed flawlessly for two years now. $500 picked up at the local Home Depot.

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
Love my 65qt Whynter. Worked better than my buddies ARB on the last trip to Moab.
