    Hello-

I just purchased a 2015 Tacoma DblCab TRD Off-Road. The truck I always wanted and can't wait to use it in Ouray, CO on the mountain pass.

Read thru the Owners Manual- but could not find anything on using A-Trac w/ H4. I know it says using it w/ L4. Does know if H4/A-Trac is possible?

Plus, I notice driving in the snow downtown Denver yesterday on H4..its a little rough at low speeds (below 10mph). Is this normal?

But otherwise the Tacoma is SOLID. No squeaks or rattle!

Take a look at this: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/te...uto-lsd-explained-easy-understand-i-hope.html

You are correct--A-Trac is 4 LO only. It's designed to get you out of a bind or through really rough stuff at very low speeds.

I doubt you'll be wishing for anything else in 4 HI...my sport is identical in capability to your off road in 4 HI and it usually feels like it's on rails in the snow.

As you know being in Denver we get plenty of snow. Besides putting on H4, is there anything else i can switch on to increase traction? besides L4 , A-TRAC, and Locking Differ. Thanks JW.

I had A-Trac on H4 last weekend w/ snow on the ground due a YouTube video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1MOEZYAv5Q

You can hear him say A-Trac and H4 is On in the video. I hope it didn't damage anything. Please let me know if this will do any harm. I won't of course do it in H4 again.

I will post my '15 Tacoma this weekend..or maybe even today.

Tires. But I'm sure you know that. You have TRAC in 4 Hi which still simulates limited slips electronically front and rear. You can also mod the locker to work in modes other than 4 Lo.

Four tires with poor traction < Two tires with excellent traction. I always run dedicated snow tires, and in 4 HI the truck feels like it's on rails even when I'm driving hilly unplowed roads.

You can push the button, but I don't think it actually does anything in 4 Hi. There is a normal TRAC system which is on by default unless you specifically disable it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I've been looking forward to owning this truck for years...and now enjoying it for centuries to come.

I have read many comments about HAC/DAC and even looked at the owners manual. I can locate the DAC but where is the HAC button or is this a automatic setup when your on a steep hill... I could have sworn I saw the HAC button on a Tacoma when I was shopping.
