Has anyone had any experience with the flex-a-lite electric fan for the 3rz motor? If so is it worth the price $348 at LCE. Is there any noticeable gains with the stock fan clutch gone? Thanks for the help!:)

Hey i'm glad to respond to your question. I rather get a single universal fan and wire it up to a controller. I have a 16" with a turbo setup. Been on for years now and i bought it from ebay.

Your not looking at alot of gain going with an electric fan. Maybe a few hp, at most. If the E fan isnt wired up proppery, overheating can occer. Also, the electric motor is more suseptable to damage if off road, and you have to ford a stream, of the like.

thanks for the help I still am thinking about the Flex-a-lite fan kit just cause it "sounds like" it is a complete bolt on kit. Idk if it realy is or if they just say that to make it sound like it easy to instal? Just trying to free up a little hp here and there. But it will probably be a while if at all before i think about getting the fan. Replacing worn out tires tends to be more important than upgrading something that works fine:) Btw does anyone know any website that can beat tireracks prices or at least ship for free?

If your looking for some good bolt on HP, check out the Alpine Developments Super charger for your truck.

Best exhaust for your truck would be an North West Off road Try-Y header, and a dynomax Suoer turbo exhaust. Those 2 together would get you a 10 hp + gain.

Have the lce header, the north west header wont fit the auto in the floor at least that what the website said. but i have the lce header and a flowmaster and i was thinking about going with a better performing muffler that i could get say under $100.

Larger exhaust wont help unless your a SC'ed or Turbo'ed. Get the Dynomax Muffler, as it will be MUCH better than the Flowmaster.

Most folks who go with electric fans, eventually wish they had not done so, or at least that seems to have been the consensus over the years I have been reading. Whether it's the Taurus fan mod or the after market systems, the problems Chris mentions are a regular part of life and they seem to outweigh the minor gains in horsepower and responsiveness you might see.

I thought it was but started to second guess myself when i seen some catback systems that were 2.25. just thought that was kinda a waste of $ to replace the stock system with the same thing for like $200-$400 when all you are getting is a different muffler. Idk I might be wrong though.

Many people just replace the muffler, while leaving the OEM pipe.

If you had to guess what do you think the hp gain would be if I trashed the flowmaster and replaced it with the dynomax super turbo? Also where and how much would i find one?

Being as the Flowmaster is causing more loss than the OEM muffler, Im guessing you will pick up about 6 or 7 from where you are now.
