Or the area in Lee's sig. "off limits group" must remain hush hush or bring $55 with us next time.

 

We're pretty much all in the "off limits group". While the "pin striping" group of us was on a tour of the more remote tight spots, the "non-pin striping" group of us was taking a tour of more common naughty spots culminating in a $55 dollar chat with the authori-tays.

 

Yep Yep I must say I was the first truck to pull into that $55 honey hole. Next time I'll be traveling the "unspeakable" areas, that I have so far avoided the past couple years.

 

I heard all about the friendly visit from LE that several of you had on Monday at work. From what I heard LE spoke to several people in the group earlier in the day at the campground and told them to consider that their warning for being in areas that they should not be. There were several other vehicles spotted coming off of a closed road that were not stopped by someone going to help write tickets to the first group.

 

Well, she's finally clean on the outside...



Whilst scrubbing the clay off the tires, I discovered I narrowly avoided a VBT (very bad thing)...



Although that's bad enough. It's only about an 1/8 inch deep and I dinnea think it got down to the cords, so it might be fine. At least I didn't pop the tire and have to ride home on my donut spare.

How many groups are doing organized trail clean ups at Citrus? I would be all for taking a Saturday to give back to one of the areas I like to trail ride. It's a shame the number of beer bottles and cans I saw in the woods.

As a responsible legal off-road enthusiasts we should make it a point to give back.

I was thinking about suggesting this! Awesome. I'm in too. I was thinking about contacting them and seeing if they might provide a little motivation to get more people involved, like maybe a weekend of campsite use for free or something, but even if they didn't want to go for it, I'd still be more than willing. I was picking up trash off the trail last weekend where ever we stopped long enough. Did the same thing back in December.

 

I don't think anyone would expect you to travel that far for a trail cleanup Chris. But, I would imagine you have the same issues locally. We need to be leaders to make sure public land stays accessible to the public. I was talking about this quite a bit with my wife last weekend, I was super impressed with Ron. He had the trasharoo on the back of his Suzuki and he backed out a lot of shit that didn't need to be in the woods.

Should we start a thread? This would also be a good chance for people to become more familiar with Citrus. Driving down every trail from one end to the other really helped me get a grip on what was where. Naturally, we'd have to divide it into sectors with only two or three trucks per sector, but if we do it often enough, we could rotate the sectors and everyone would get a chance to see every trail and make a note of their favorite spots.
