Just found out I'm going to the beach for vacation this summer, and promtply realized that I have nothing in my safe that will cope well with salt water if I carry it....and odds are I will end up in the water with it. We will be surf fishing and what not.

I am considering an NAA in .22 mag for carrying at the beach, yall have any input on it for me? I don t want to spend much, say 300 max. And I don't want something that will rust (like the keltecs).

    What yall think?

Any gun will rust if in salt water. For the money I would say the keltec or ruger 380 and just oil the shit out of it before you go out.

Does 24"x45" sound about right for standard silhouette targets?
I'm building some target stands for a friend and he's not sure of the dimensions of the targets he uses, but he said they're standard silhouette targets.
I'm planning on going off of the dimensions for these unless someone has any better ideas.

just soak whatever you carry in soap water, then rinse it out and give it a motor oil bath. Preferably a glock.

Ideal, personally I don't know if I'd want to fish anywhere that I needed my gun in the water. Leave it on the truck. Just my thoughts, I beach fish a lot.

Depends. Hiking or summer camping I'll generally open carry, for the sake of comfort and convenience. Hunting or winter camping I'll generally conceal it. Partly it's to keep stuff out of the gun (like snow), and partly it's because usually hunting I'm wearing a lot more clothes, so it gets concealed by default, haha!

There are exceptions to both, though. Depends on the situation.

I only open carry if I'm in uniform and wearing a vest

Usually open because my trail gun is a 4" 357 Mag. Kind of a tradition to have a trail gun on the hip out here.
