    Lots of expensive shit
I know, but you were bringing up the price factor.

So I was just bringing up the point that off the shelf pricing for OEM vs OEM they are similar in price and you dont have to special order the ADS.

Just a little bump with a recent story:

Just a couple weekends ago I was out doing some pretty intense off roading which started as prerunning and then turned into crawling on a difficult trail where I almost tipped and scared the shit out myself. Anyways.... when I was running pretty fast at ~60mph and about 45 minutes in, I hit a gnarly section of the road that was highly eroded and I completely bottomed out and would have surely broken any stock suspension component.

I crawled out after coming to a complete stop to see what I had broken and smelt the strong scent of burnt rubber that must have been from my tires rubbing the entire inner fender well. Gave it a good look over and nothing appeared broken and it drove like nothing happened so I continued on.

Later that night I get back onto a paved road and it turned out my alignment was out of whack and I knocked my wheel off center. Next day I clean the truck real well and begin to look under again. I noticed the tops of my UCAs were all marked up and it appears that they smacked into the upper fender/wheel well area so hard that there are even dents:eek:. Thankfully, after taking it in for the realignment, everything is fine!

Long story short: I beat the absolute shit out of this ADS suspension (unintentionally) and was sure something had to be broken...but it took it like a champ and everything is fine!

ADS is badass equipment:cool: Even more pleased with it after this experience.

    ...too much shit to list.
The body mounts on these trucks flex like crazy with spirited driving.
Apron dents will continue...but an easy fix with a hole saw:

Got my Ads 2.5 RR on the fronts and 10" piggybacks on the back. Also installed MCM UCA and a expo leaf pack. Install went pretty good for all hand tools and a few rookies. But a question for you guys. I have 2" of threads showing on top of my coils. This has yielded 2 3/4 of lift in the front. How much do you guys have showing and how much lift? I have only ifs skid and sliders for extra weight.
Also every so often I hear a noticeable bang on my front. Usually when I first get started and then the odd sudden drop and it isn't just from one side. Any ideas?
So far from driving around I love ADS and even the expos don't seem bad at all for having no weight in the back.

I was told every inch of thread showing gets about .5 inches of lift. I haven't measured mine but it sits a little lower in the front just a tad, I was waiting to see if the rear settled a bit to be level.

When I was set right near 2 3/4" -3" I got the bang too. I was told it was just the internal metal parts coming together at droop to prevent the shock from blowing out the bottom. Dan at ADS showed me exactly what was happening with a disassembled shock and all the internals and it is not causing any harm, just annoying. Lowering the height certainly got rid of the noise except for when the front wheels come off the ground:D

That's honestly the only annoying thing I've found with ADS. Mine are set right now to 2 1/4"-2 1/2" but I just haven't had the time to dial it in properly.

Also, add some more pictures when you get a chance!

I will post more pics when I change out the lca. My bushings and cam bolt are seized so ordered replacements this weekend. I don't want to lower my front anymore. My rake would be huge with the expo pack in the back.

So rumor has it that a couple new trucks (Tundras, not Tacomas) may be running ADS soon. Hopefully there will be some new pics in here soon!

I haven't take any pics because of the snow and my truck looking like crap. But within the next week I will and post them up.

Sound good! What did you put in for LCAs? I'm in the same situation currently with needing new bushings

I just bought the moog lca and put in the moog greasable camber bolt also. I know it's not the most expensive set up but so far everything is good. And have since ordered a front, hc rear bumper, bed rack and already picked up a rtt. The family is excited for winter to leave so we can get out together.

Quick noob question here, how do you adjust the shocks height? Would I need a compressor and all that?

Not with adjustable coilovers. Just jack the wheels off the ground to start and remove just to make it easier. Loosen the little bolt that keeps it tight (using a hex key most likely) and stick a screw driver in the hole and crank it to the left or right depending on raising or lowering. Mine just needs hex key, a cut off screw driver and elbow grease.
