I saw the news was reporting that the Glen Rose/Hico area only received up to 1" of snow the other day and just laughed. When I stopped at the gas station in Hico my truck had almost an inch of snow on it in less than 20 minutes. I believe the only reason we have meteorologist is to keep the unemployment rate down.

 

Ha! That's funny. I'm very familiar with the Wrangler gas station in Hick. Our deer lease is about 5 minutes from there

Whoa. Just...whoa. That's harsh, and unfair!

Hipsters won't drive Tacomas. They drive 1980s Mercedes diesels that have been converted to run on waste oil and pygmy goat placentas. They buy Vespas, Nissan Leafs, or use public transportation when they don't have to. They ride their bicycles in the middle of the road during rush hour traffic.

They are intolerable, overly-tolerant ass-clowns who think that skinny jeans and a tweed blazer constitute a suit, and that it's okay to encourage other free spirits' right to pan-handle instead of getting a real job.

This describes only about 55% of Austin's population. I am part of the other 45% that will survive the zombie hipster 'pocalypse because I am armed with a wee bit more than self-righteous vegan indignation.

I know that Franklin's BBQ is the vegan-free place to be.

Those from the People's Democratic Republic of California are more than welcome to go back. But no, Texas allowed their entire hipster companies to relocate their hipster employees to Austin.

Ultimately, I guess it's Rick Perry's fault for bringing the businesses here. Oh, the bitter, bitter irony.

 

Damn Capt, I'm more of an original Driftwood Salt Lick BBQ man myself. Gotta get back to work now, those "TEXAS, it ain't for pussies" bumper stickers won't make themselves.

 

Any meat is good meat. Salt Lick is good too. When Bergstrom was still an Air Force Base and not a flying hipster portal, my unit would all go to Lockhart. We'd part our big green convoy in a big field next to Black's BBQ, eat like there was no tomorrow, and convoy back as part of "quarterly training."

No hipsters in sight. Glorious!
