Honestly, you're just gonna have to suck it up for the most part and let it heal. You don't want to push it before it's ready. I broke both bones and had a plate and 8 screws put in. Just make sure you do your rehab when you get the cast off. Grab a stress ball and squeeze the shit out of that thing to build your forearm strength back up. This is just a good excuse to build your legs up, I guess. Lol.

x2. My fiancée actually took my spot working at the gym when I graduated and got a big boy job, so I'm up there visiting her from time to time anyway.

I do see his point though. Working there, I ate, slept and breathed the gym. Now, I'm removed from the gossip and bullshit and can just get in, do my thing, and get out.

Similar to me..I do my thing at home so just me, my CDs, and my weights. I don't even let my cats in the room when lifting unless I'm doing dumbbells watching TV in the living room

But the majority of them are anoying dbags...ask me how i know lol

They realy shuld rename the kipping pullup, then all this flack would go away haha its just a style to quickly complete the task of going from locked out to chin over the bar, just in a different manner than a dead hang traditional pullup, theres 1000 ways to skin a cat

I have noticed that too. Biggest bastards in the gym and nothing but gentle giants. I would enjoy the gym a lot more if it was just an oly lifting and power lifting set up. Keep those bodybuilders else where

Nah you should be fine. I was back at work lifting furniture 2 days after surgery (wasn't a good idea...don't do it) and I was fishing 3 days after I got my cast off. My wrist and forearm were TINY and extremely weak. Could hardly hold the fishin rod for more than 5 or 6 minutes at a time without my hand tiring out.

Now when I'm doing anything that puts pressure on the wrist (bench press), I use wrist wraps. I still have random pains in my wrist, but the wraps help keep it stable and pain free for the most part.

I am in the same boat. I have come to the point to where if there is no surf, its dark outside/raining or nothing else going on (i gave up drinking recently) then I will hit the gym. I still enjoy the challenge and lifting heavy shit. It will be apart of my life forever, but instead of preparing for life.....I need to start living every possible chance.

This year is about mental self improvement. Getting to a place where I am completely happy with every aspect of my life. I feel like I shadowed everything that I was unhappy with by going to the gym and killing myself physically.

I am sure at the end of the year, I will still be making better progress than 85% of the people at my gym just by leading an extremely active lifestyle with some gym thrown in there.

Some days I just want to sit on the couch and play video games 10+ hours a day. Instead I'm cooking, eating, prepping, and lifting.

Only thing that keeps me going is dem gains....
