:pccoffee: More cold in the forecast, yay. At least there does appear to be an end in sight; during the daytime around here, things are actually melting a little bit.

 I worked a rotation for a while that gave me 3 on - 4 off, followed by 4 on - 3 off. 12-hour days, or should I say nights, because I was on 8pm to 8am. The days on were long, but those 4 in a row off -- oh my that was nice. Later on I switched to the daytime side, which was even nicer.

I'd be estatic with 4 on 3 off; the civilians here worked that when I first got up here on active duty. We do a 5 on 2 off 4 on 3 off now, which isn't bad. When I ran/worked op centers, I schedule 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off 12 hr shifts whenever possible. Folks seemed to like that schedule best as every other weekend was Fri-Sat off.

Ken: Times sure have changed, some better some worse. ;)

Sue: I run the Destination A/Ts in the winter and love them. Not squirrely in the snow at all.

    R-E-T-I-R-E-M-E-N-T. :D

Feeling a little better. Last night was the best night sleep in two weeks. My discs in the back are drying up. Some phases of growing older suck.

I should have mentioned that my 4-3-3-4 rotation included one weekend day. Two pairs of teams, day and night. One pair worked a Saturday and the other worked a Sunday.
I hear you. I took a flyer on my driveway two days ago, landing flat on my back with my left leg folded under me to a degree it has not seen in a long, long time. My first thought as I lay there was, what's broken? Fortunately for me, nothing but my pride. But the day is coming when I won't be so lucky.

Sorry about the back issues Tom. Glad you're feeling a little better.

What's the current status on the kitchen?

supposed to be 80* around Orlando this week :p

    evening Ken

Not quite as warm, but better than the 40* we had the last 10 days or so

Never got to work that schedule, but it sounded great.

 when I was in Alaska, MOC folks complained about the 12 hour shifts  so they went to 8 hrs 5 days a week  Stoopid people :notsure:

    Thanks Tom...

It's better than the alternative :p Hope the back feels better

 Sorry 'bout the accident. Be careful out there. Broke my tail bone slipping on the ice, 3 days before my son was born. OUCH!!!

    x2

 I can't fully imagine childbirth, but childbirth with a broken tail bone? *shiver ... that has to be a whole other level of pain. No thank you :(
