Can anyone help me with a reputable website to order a axle actuator part number: 41400-35033.
    It's for my 2007 tacoma 4x4
Tried junk yards with no luck also the dealerships mark up is ridiculous, one wanted $545 for the part alone. Thanks in advance.

I have a friend who's a service manager in Petaluma, he might be able to give you a better price. Gave another TWer a good deal on a new rack and pinion.

PM me if interested. No guarantees, as he's not me.. but who knows. :)

So I'm thinking of finally committing on a set of SCS wheels. I'm suck of running spacers and would love to finally rep SCS for real. I'm just trying to decided between the F-5's and SR8's in matte black. Any opinions?

Get both! I couldn't decide either. The best thing to do is go to his shop and see which finish you like better. What size spacers? I might be interested.:D

Bora 1.25", I like my LC wheels a lot, but I'm sick of dealing with spacers and would rather just go with a SCS. I guess I'll just see when I check out his shop.

haha nonono, I just lurk. I've seen Marco's build (now Paul's car). But I was originally thinking about picking up an MR-S and going 2zz, but I really like the 2GR because mpg/power. But I was wondering whether or not it might be too much torque in the turns (and transmission longevity is a big question mark here too). I was reading how it wasn't so bad getting the exhaust system in and after install that the weight of the vehicle was closer in weight balance to the Elise. I'd personally prefer the 2zz for its peaky nature, but 268hp on regular is pretty attractive.

It was noted that the XV40 platform shared more than just the chassis, the ECU tune was identical as well, so that you could run unleaded or premium in either Toyota or Lexus flavors. The setup relied heavily on the knock sensors to properly retard ignition timing to prevent detonation.

I just wish there were some more details on how they ran the catalytic converter and the exhaust from there.

I have a taco and an xb, was thinking about getting rid of the xB for the MR-S. Let's chat off forum regarding your 2zz swap, I wanna follow your progress and perhaps go the same path. lol, we can be 2zz mr-s buddies.

Turn on the lights to see if that tailgating crown vic or ford explorer is a cop.

when you see the reflectors in the windshield, you win!

F*** that!! lol...that would be my fear in using a light bar like that...even if the car behind you isn't a cop. if a cop is further behind, you can bet your ass he will see that bright ass light

Well, you could blind the cop, cut to the side, slam the brakes, and turn off all your lights when you're near an exit. :p

j/k, but that'd be a really useful maneuver in an apocalypse!

lol.. i remember on I-80 i was cruising down a hill @ almost 90 and i saw a cop sitting on the side w/ a radar, was like shit!!! pulled off at the first exit and luckily there was an entrance back on to the freeway same direction at the stop light and as i was getting back on i saw the cop smash off w/ lights on in front of me. this was at like 1am and not many other people out so it seemed like he was comin for me haha.

My blitzpro amber's on a flasher work better than any other anti-asshole device I've had. I've had douchbags tailgate me before and flip those on. They aren't really asshole bright...but the flashing is annoying and most California drivers are one IQ point from being retarded. Every time I've flipped them on, DB behind me has exited the highway in a rush. "Oh no...caltrans caught me"....or something.

On a different note. I hope everyone washed their truck.
I washed all three as a sacrifice to the weather gods for snow and brutally shitty weather.

Tipis are great, add a stove jack and put in a wood stove and you're right at home. It's pretty tough when you got dogs so you gotta worry about that.

The last time we were at slickrock, we were considering going out to do some night wheeling, but everyone who had a RTT just called it a night. But having an integrated solution is nice. The RTT is a bit of a pain to setup though. I like the flippac as a solution a lot more.

Sounds like it's time to get back into backpacking! There're meet-up groups that do that still these days. And I go on overnight solo trips from time to time.

But if you're looking for something that will get you out there and be nearly as comfortable as a trailer, you should look into TacoDoc's build for his flippac.

    http://americanadventurist.com/Forum/showthread.php?46-Dave-s-AT-FlipPac-Thread

Page 6 and 7 for today's current build out. But yea, shower, fridge, stove, propane heater, flushing toilet, dining table, queen sized bed.

    All the comforts of WINNING.

Plus the total cost of all that gear would be half the price of a new Airstream Sport and a lot more versatile. At the end of the day, you can take it all out and put it away in the garage and regain your bed for normal use.
