I'm pretty sure Tacoma year is irrelevant. This is for ARB locker( and accessories), just make sure which locker fits your Tacoma. Check with Skygear to make sure.

I'm in if it's ECGS assembled thirds. I have a 2015 TRD Sport 4x4. From the ECGSs site I'm guessing I need the Tacoma 8.4 Non ELD in the rear and Tacoma/ FJ Cruiser/ 4Runner- 8" Reverse Clamshell Assembly up front? Can't decide between 4.56's and 4.88's. I'm only running 265/70R17 and don't plan on going any bigger.

On stock gears I can't pull an empty cargo trailer into the wind and hold 60mph so need to change gears. I was getting 6mpg running empty from Indiana to St Louis. May as well add ARB lockers while I'm at it. I'll be looking to get the ARB CKMTA12 Dual High Output Air Compressor Kit along with it.

I'm not clear on the solid spacer and CV bushing options ECGS has on their third members. Any insight? Is the CV bushing to fix the bad bearing issue up front? What's the solid spacer for?

Confirmed, For sure down for RD129 and CKMA12, possibly down for RD90 and CKMTA12(instead of CKMA12)

Definitely not what my experience has proven. The Differential must be assembled properly no matter what locker or no locker. With and Air Locker the installation includes air line routing and this itself can be a cause for problems. Tuck the air line out of the way and check it once or twice a year, retie it up if it has shifted and you will be good. If you want extra insurance and do severe off roading carry some extra air line, some inline splice connectors, and cable ties so you can make repairs on the trail.

The ARB Locker actually make your front clamshell STRONGER. Just use it when you really need the front locker and you will last a long time. Or just lock the rear.

Getting a deal on the lockers and gears is nice, you will likely only save a few hundres on the whole package, but if the shipping is thown in this itself is significant. Find someone with a proven track record to install them and you will never regret it! I plan to keep my truck for a long time and this mod was planned from the start. I went with 4.56 Nitro gears, full install kits, and ARB lockers at both ends. Buy once, cry once theory.

You should get some advise on that! With stock tires size I would not recomend even changing your gears but at most id maybe do 4:10's

x2. I would suggest 4.10 as well. They offer a 3.90 for the rear but not the front as far as I can tell.

Actually the stock tires are 265/65R17. I put a set of General Grabber 265/70R17 on Fuel Octane 17x8.5 wheels. Got a whopping one inch of height with them but I didn't want bigger tires. I'm running an ICON Stage 2 kit which was just right to clear the slightly bigger tires.

I called the dealer today and had them look up my VIN and tell me what gears I have. They said 3.72s front and rear. I've decided to go with 4.88s so if me or whomever owns the truck after me can go a little bigger on the tires if needed.

I owned a 2005 DCSB TRD Off Road Prerunner before this and with stock setup I towed 7000+lbs from Alabama to California with truck fully loaded at 70+ mph with no problem. I know these trucks can tow...just need to get the gears right.

The two different tires you posted are one of the same! 265's one on 16 and one on 17". You can run bigger than that if you want without a lift but a lift is nice. With stock size tires.. even if you might be 1/2" bigger 4:10's will actually be lower geared than what most peoe would like for the road since its gonna be reved a little hi! It would be better for towing or off road. 4:88 would be crazy. Youre gonna be screaming down the road like a slow rice burner that thinks they are racing 100mph but only going 20. I dont know the math to that but youre gonna be way over geared with 4:88's.

Edit: maybe you should get 4:88's.. and get a front ARB as well, and when you dont like them you can sell them to me for a discount :D lol
