I ran slick rock with stock skids and had no problems or dents even went up the hard line at the end. Only armor I had was sliders

Teach me your ways... Also aftermarket skids have less clearance then stock...

The trail changes constantly too. I ran it at the begining and the end of the summer and boulders had moved to different places.

I should just get my sliders now and get them welded on somewhere. I was waiting till I got more confident with my welding, but haven't had a lot of time to get practice in.

You can do Rubicon with IFS. My friend did Rubicon a couple times with 32's and a 3" lift. He used every bit of armor underneath but its do-able!

Skip the car charger and just get a power converter that plugs into the accessory port. Will be more useful for more than just a camera battery charger. They're only about $26.

You'll be alright haha, went with 3 ifs trucks last year a couple times. Nothing broken, little body damage though. I'm in for that trip for sure, will be in the pickup though.

As I recall, there weren't too many by-passes on the Rubicon. Little Sluice and old sluice are all I can think of. None around Big Sluice or Cadillac Hill or Walker Hill. Its been around 8 years for me, though, so maybe things have changed.

Gatekeeper was dynamited, so unfortunately, thats no fun anymore.

We bypassed little sluice, but my buddy ran it in his 1st gen on 35s after a cherokee and 1st gen runner couldn't do it.

Body damage is the least of my concerns, I'm always terrified of flopping.

Depending on when this all goes down I might be in, I'll be moving come summer, where yet I don't know. If it's the east coast the truck is staying here and I can wheel, if south no go. So the offer of shotgun and a keg will still stand, I'll even bring the shotty!
