I'll keep that in mind. I think it'll be alright though cause its pretty hard to move. If not, well then lesson learned

I also think that the wire would be a good bet. How will you be re assembling the head lights? oven? Keep in mind the melting temperature of the headlight sealing adhesive is pretty high, and I'd estimate it to be very similar to that of butyl rubber.

I bet you could find a high temp adhesive. Maybe a dab or two of guerrilla glue. Or even gasket sealant. Some of those are final of course.

You're gonna love that rack! I put mine on last week and have already started buying accessories. It's like a separate truck mod on it's own with all the accessories that Front Runner makes...:D

Easy as pie! I ordered the scion base wiring kit that was suggested in in one of the forums and everything just plugged in. Steering wheel controls still work and Bluetooth connects to my phone :0).
Still need to figure out something for a microphone though. Baby steps!

Search my name. I put together a pretty good DIY for the radio retrofit.

    Hey guys,

Was bored after I finally removed the stubborn bolt that broke when I removed the skid plates to flush my coolant system. Here are a couple of pictures.

Then I got bored, so I de-cromed all the emblems for the hell of it along with the grill.

Then...with some time on hand still, I installed a fire extinguisher in the side of the bed...

What is next? Hmm...probably will be my mag lite mount, just trying to find the sweet spot to put it first!:D

Lol... looks good but you could have taken the grill off in about 2 mins instead of the 30 to tape it all up. Good job though

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Yeah really ? That easy? Without breaking shit ?

    :notsure:

Lol... Yeah, Two tabs and two screws on top. Pull the grill toward you. It will make a loud pop like you broke something but it's just coming out of the tabs that hold it in the bottom.

I did mine the day I bought it.

I've since replaced it with a color matched grill

Yea there are two clips and two 10mm bolts (with philips head) that hold it in.

Takes me literally 30 seconds or less. 2 mins is really an overestimate.

In all seriousness, it really is easy to take off. I can't tell you the number of times I've had mine off. I've got to remove my entire bumper assembly in a few weeks since I ordered a Pelfreybilt aluminum bumper to replace it with.
