If you are looking at one of the kits with 5100s, wait til the 6112s come out! They are like a 5100 on steroids.

Ok so I've checked out a few of the kits recommended. Leaning towards bilstein 5100 front and rear, (885 or eibach springs) and a 1.5" aal. Also looks like I'll need front diff drop. Am I going to need UCA's?

I want to maintain a smooth road ride. This lift is purely for looks and for the ability to add larger tires in the future. What springs are recommended to achieve this?

I personally wouldn't recommend 5100's and OME springs. They weren't designed to be used together. If you want OME 885 then go with the OME 90021 Nitrocharger Sport Struts. Just my opinion.

I'll probably put my front 5100's in tomorrow. I ordered them in November and just got them a few weeks ago direct from Bilstein. So they do have them now. I did check on the 6112's once I heard about them a month or so ago. But they are quite a bit more expensive. Almost triple at the wholesale level.

 How is that, because they are not the same brand

I can explain why you not recommending this combo doesn't make sense if you would like.

Has to do with coil count, spring rate, coil design, multi strut/coil OME configuration (they designed the same strut to be used with varies coils right?), the intended purpose of the coil, differences in vehicle weight............

Bottom line is pick a coil with a bottom taper design that mirrors the factory coil and select based on weight/expectation for vehicle height. Pairing names means nothing with a clear understanding of each component and its intended purpose. One is only limiting themselves by trying to match brands.

Didn't say it wouldn't work. But OME designed their new Nitrocharger struts (90000) with firmer valving to be used with the 886 coils. And the 90021 with the 884, 885, etc.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You have yours, I have mine, and someone else has theirs.

Truth is I'm a tight ass. I want it to look good with out breaking the bank. I also dont want rear suspension to tight where i can feel every pot hole. Block vs. AAL will I notice a difference? I can assemble struts myself no big deal.

Blocks will ride better, marginally. I suggest a progressive 3 leaf AAL. I got mine for $150 or so shipped and it rides great, better than a single AAL or block by far.

You can check my gallery, I'm on stock SR5 coils and 5100s front and rear and a 3 leaf AAL (Wheeler's) with 265/75/16s. I have maybe $500 in suspension, all told. Very pleased.

Your sport springs might be a little rough riding. Some think it's fine at 1.75 and 2.5 preload and some hate it. At .85 it's probably negligible.

But something to keep in mind. You could always buy Offroad or SR5 coils from someone on the cheap. They're a progressive rate coil and would ride a bit better.
