Finally got my Quick Fists to mount my co2 tank in the bed. I still need to decide exactly where it's going.

Nice! I've always liked the CO2 air-up tanks...

They are awesome. I used Nate's last time after Peacock Flats and was sold. It lasts a long time for the amount of air ups that we do and it fills tires super fast. Like almost a pound per second.

Even though I bought an ARB compressor...I might eventually go your route as well. I agree...so much faster... Time is money...lol

Safety Systems filled it in about a day. You drop it off and they call you when it's ready. Was about 40 bucks, but I think it's worth it for the amount of tires it can fill. I got it cheaper than Amazon from the "unmentionable" store here, just have to wait for a sale. They had it in stock even.

Don't know that it really matters, but you'll never see 4000 psi out of a co2 tank. Most are set to blow at 2200psi, and if it's been properly filled and you handle it properly, odds are you'll never see that pressure either.

A tank filled to 100% of it's rated fill capacity will need to reach a temp of about 130 deg to reach 2200 psi, at which point the blow out disk will pop and good bye co2. As the fill in the tank drops, the temp needed to reach that blow-off pressure rises.

I filled a boatload of co2 tanks back in the day. Mostly useless trivia for the average Joe, but the point is, don't expect 4000 psi out of any CO2 tank.

Are they charging you by the fill, or by pounds of fill? If they're charging you by the fill use as much of your tank as you can before filling. If they charge you by pounds it's not as big a deal. They're going to use what's in your tank to chill the bottle because it makes it easier to pump in the liquid. You'll be paying for some waste in this case.

I'll ask them next time I"m there if they can charge by the pound. I think they will charge by the fill though. I'll make sure it's close to empy when I take it in for a refill. Thanks for the heads up.;)

I think I'm gonna go for a CO2 tank as well. Maybe they'll have them on sale at Truck Fest.

Installed Quick Fist mounts for the co2 bottle.

No, it has to be upright. So, got to undo the quick fists and just pick it up. I don't think my air hose reaches all the tires anyway.

There wasn't an easy way to mount it standing up because the bottle isn't tall enough to reach the bed rail tie down thingy. And I didn't want to buy an expensive co2 bottle mount so I opted for the quick fists and mount close to the tailgate so I can reach it.

I thought of that but didn't want to spend any more time looking for a metal plate. Still have to take the bottle out regardless. Powertank and another brand has some nice ones, I just didn't want to spend that much. Do you have a metal plate I could use? That would be awesome because I have some of Iven's t-slot thingys. I looked all yesterday and I don't have anything in my shop that would have worked.
