I have a '14 2.7 5 speed AC with 14k miles... when I'm going down the road it has happened to me like 3-4 times now, I'll be cruising along and all the sudden my steering wheel will fade into a shake, and it shakes pretty good, and it will also feel real grabby like and pull you with the crown of the road. I'm pretty sure it's the 4wd engaging because if I shut my truck off and turn it back on or if I push the clutch in, switch it to 4wd, and switch it back, it will stop shaking.. anyone have an issue like this?

My 09 will do it sometimes too.

It's the weirdest thing it will after starting (not all of a sudden like yours) every 8 or 9 times. It's so strange.

Today drove to and from work fine. Tomorrow it might shake. No rhyme or reason for it.

I just had new tires put on on so it was balanced and aligned.

I know it's not my pressures or balance, because it only has don't it a few times, and like i said if I restart my truck or engage and disengage 4wd it quits..

You're talking about a VSC / traction control engagement , and having a VSC zero point calibration done

If that occured there would be an ABS like pulsation in the brake pedal

This usually occurs to lifted trucks or ones with bigger tires and / or different bs wheels than stock

Is your truck stock OP ?

    I did.

So every tire is balanced properly the first time?
Jeez. I've never had a tire place mess anything up.

well, I actually did have my yaw sensor and abs recalibrated after I lifted it. but I actually run it with the abs fuse pulled in the winter because I can't stand VSC and all that nonsense. so due to the fact that there is no power going to the abs and vsc and whatnot that can't be the problem. I'm 99.8% positive it's 4wd engaging because it gets very grabby when I steer and feels the same as it does when I'm in 4wd and hit a dry patch of dirt or road... and like I said it stops if I swap 4wd in and out. I didn't know if there was a vacuum actuator or something getting stuck or failing or something..

Sure it's not the needle bearing issue that is fairly common ?
