Don't let him play with water bottles! They tend to think all bottles are their toys. Full or not. Ask me how I know

Looks like you made it to sawtooth lake on your MT trip, how did you like the trail? Also did you happen to go to Fantan lake while you were there?

Hey Nik  Yea Josh (TW aka shipps) and I made it to Sawtooth lake in the dark on night one to meet up with the rest of the crew that did morrison switchbacks that day. Trail was a fun little jaunt into the lake. Is there more than on option to get to the lake? I don't recall a Fantan lake but Goose was the Lake we ended up at for night two of my trip. Beautiful up there! Where abouts in Montana are you?

Monte, have you checked out the app "LeadNav"? Could you run it on your ipad? I've been looking at possibilities for nav stuff that's more than just the garmin since I want better usability and a bigger screen on top of better imagery I can load up. Would be awesome for planning a trip across WY on dirt. Joel "mobarmor" has a pretty sweet case/mount for the ipad mini that is really attractive to me.

That thing is awesome. Would love that. Wonder if it affects the airbag on the passenger side?

Not sure if that part of the dash moves up or down in deployment of the bag? if it goes down at all, passenger would get a nice thigh full of metal. Or if it detaches youd get an ipad to the face...

Edit: skip to 33 seconds in. This mount solution would be safe.

That would be tricky to get it all to talk together no? Unless there is stuff out there that already has software written to work with the radio gps. Aparently leadnav with the newer ipads is really accurate. Accurate being a relative term, it's not precise... like survey grade equipment but its great for road nav!

I don't have air bags...lol...well...I have one in frank..but that's it. My passenger is dead no matter what haha

Yea there is a way to make it talk to it. I haven't looking at it much.

I have an iPad two and when I use it for nav it works great.

I really want the mount that is an arm that comes off the seat bolt..but it's 150 haha
