What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Tested the shock relocation, I'm pretty happy:

 

Your a little light on the Trans fluid. I get about 3.5 Qts in when I drain and fill autos in first gens... and maybe buy a bit extra gear lube.....

and say about 5 of gear?

I can use

$29 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75w-90 synthetic in the t-case and both diffs right? maybe I should just take her in..lol, but I love working on her myself

 

Yeah that should be enough. You can do it man, take your time and use the correct tools, not hard.

 

its rewarding to do it myself too. I feel a sense of accomplishment when done

Thanks man, gonna go buy all the fluids this weekend. Gives me a chance to touch up my skids and wash all that mud off too

 

Right on man, see if you were in Denver I'd say, nah you should have me do it

Remember to burp your coolant and check your Trans fluid with it idling after a short drive. Other than that fill your diffs and tcase til it barely trickles out.

I like the black look? Maybe that's the fast and furious in me but I think it is nice. If I had the time and money to burn, would totally do something like that *shrug*

 

I think 6 for gear would be better. I ran 3 in rear and about 1.5 in the front. I still need to do my tcase.
