Shrug. I think that's really only the shorter versions. A Wrangler Unlimited is 184" inches long and weighs 4000lbs.
An old 4-door Cherokee was 170" long (ish) and 3300lbs, if I remember right. I had a couple of Cherokees and they weren't overly bouncy.

 

No plans as of yet but I am sure something will happen.

 

Before I started looking I had only been in a two door and if I had to drive that to the city every day I would go crazy. They are awesome in the woods but as a daily driver .

 

Congrats Billy! I like the looks of the 4drs, I hated it when it first came out but it really grew on me

 

Thanks Tim. We are at a point where one is in college and the other is getting ready to go, and we plan on having some fun (just the two of us) weekends with it. It will never be just about us but we are getting some freedom back now

 

No but I don't know when it was replaced, so I want to do it on my own terms. Pedal still feels good but I dunno. Just wanna make sure it stays healthy

I thought they would do TSB work regardless of warranty?

 

If the pedal feels good and there's no slipping, why waste the money? When she starts slipping, then start looking into it. No sense in jumping the gun with something like that in my opinion.

 

Congrats Billy, I really hope you don't have any problems with it! I wan't kidding when I told you about thier drivetrains though. Oh and not really trying to kill your new purchase but the wranglers have bad frames as well. Just ask me how I know

I do love that color though. I think it looks great on the FJ's as well.

 

Rob, what's the deal with the frames? Rusting out or people managing to bend them?

Once it starts slipping, I don't know how much time I'd have to replace it

Stuff a bunch of desiccants and oxygen absorbers into the boxes sections of the frame, then weld all the holes shut!
