No offence, but you must be making a killing off of these things. As you should of course for finding such a simple idea that can potentially do so much :). Isn't this "Eco Block" basically a plastic spacer for the MAF? This is a great product if it give 1 mpg back and a little power but aren't you worried a bit about someone making a knock off or do you have the concept patented up tight?

BTW I don't mean any of this in a negative way so please no one take it that way. I'm just watching a ton of people order this and I'm wondering how long it is before we see a knock-off of such a simple product that may not have the proper spacing or seal and cause some damage/CEL's.

Why do you need to put the cover on?

I removed it... Engine got dirty anyway. No point in having to clean 2 parts every time I washed.

Agreed, that is why we waited almost two years before releasing the product. The patent process takes a while and a fair amount of $$$, but that's behind us now. It was a huge pain in the butt but I learned a lot along the way.

Looks like I need to make a spacer kit for the cover so it fits back on without cutting a hole in it.

Need a truck here to do the R/D ;)

I was just about to say the same thing. Just put a spacer on the 2 front moounting bolts is maybe sufficient.:D

I'd take a spacer. Haven't had time to install mine yet, but I like the plastic cover left on.

There's already a hole there guys, just make it a little bigger! The plastic cover assists with keeping noise down. YMMV. Here's mine, done today, used a Dremel to enlarge the existing hole.

That's probably the way to go. I'm pretty handy with fabrication, so I'm sure it'll be easy. Maybe just some vinyl spacers from Lowes.

To others who suggest cutting, I don't like hacking OEM parts. I'm the type of person who will buy extra wiring harnesses when I install stereos so I don't have to hack up my own wires. I believe in keeping things as close to stock as possible. Even if I end up removing the part, I still won't hack them up.

Is there enough stud length to even use spacers?

Doesn't bother me either way. Can't run that cover anyways.

That would be ok until you accidentally knock a few off and into the engine bay. I'm sure it'll be easy and the spacers will likely do the trick.

There are always ways to get around that.

One can never have too many light bars.
Will this modification void any warranties with Toyota?
