Choosing a lower is going to drive me insane, so many options especially for custom ones I hate wanting all of them hahaha

Yankee hill is what I went with on my latest build. Can't beat spikes tactical for the price either.

I've built 6 of them now, but for my current rifles I just went with complete BCM and LMT lowers.

I find it is also important to learn how a specific company builds their lowers. Whether it be forged, cast or billet, I have found many people starting to build can not even describe the difference to include pro's and cons's of each.
There are ton of manufacturers out there and it seems there are new ones weekly.
Quality is paramount and like Becker, I try and stick to what I know works and I have been successful with.

Everything I've seen from Core leads me to believe they are a substandard product. They don't give you any real particulars there either.

Important stuff is the barrel material, twist rate, true 5.56 chamber, M16 bolt carrier with staked carrier key bolts, carpenter 158 bolt that is magnetic particle inspected and high pressure tested, etc.

You can get a Colt 6920 for $850

There is so much crap on the AR market unfortunately. It can be hard for a new comer to sift through the BS. And it doesn't help that a large part of the shooting community think they are all the same. So they don't understand why a Knights Armament SR15 is 4x the price of a Core15, or a Delton.

I see it with 1911's too. People think their cast frame RIA is the best thing since sliced bread and don't understand why anyone would want a hand made Wilson or Springfield custom shop gun.

In my experience, if you buy a BCM, Colt, LMT, or Daniel Defense carbine you will have a great rifle at a fair price that you can rely on.

No. I was too excited to shoot it. No sleeping for me until Sunday. I wonder if it got held up in the post because it was a gun part. A priority 3 day turned into one day shy of two weeks
I think I am only about $650 into pistol itself not including reflex.

If it works for you that's great. Using your barrel as an example, and please don't take offense to this, but it's not on the same level as say a Krieger or Douglas. A lot of consumers in this market don't know or understand why there is a difference. They just think spending $500 on a barrel of an AR is silly. But there is a difference.

And I'd be very surprised if Delton actually made their own barrels. They most likely outsource them, as most companies do.

    Thanks for the reply's.
I have a Mini-14 and it is very reliable and accurate. My brother just keeps telling me to get with the times and get a more modern rifle. I just cannot see spending lots of $$ for a new rifle that does not really get me anything. Guess I will just keep saving for an MP5.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
I agree that these brands are some of the best, but they are also some of the most expensive.

I think a good/reliable AR for a fair price would be something like Spikes Tactical. Can have a complete rifle for $1k.

    Stay away from Delton.

You can get a Colt 6920 for under $1000, the LMT is a bit more pricey at $1200. The BCM is around $1100. And the Reason Daniel Defense is more is because they typically have a $300-$400 rail installed.

    Expensive would be Knights Armament.
