    Morning
Got about 4" last night. A little heavy.
Got the walk behind out and broke the drive cable.
Oh no... What to do now???
    Pull out the backup...lol
I have another cable in the shed but it's under 4 feet of snow and still hooked up to another parts unit.
So I'll decide if I go after it or just leave it.
So I told the wife this is why i keep stuff. Hehehehehehe

    Morning all:
Not getting the amounts of snow here, but it seems like I'm shoveling every day. About 3" last night, and looks like more on the way.
Darn Mike, thought you'd be using a backhoe by now instead of a backup!

    Morning Sue!

:pccoffee:  Morning sixtys. Here's a short story describing my drive home last night. I was very lucky.
The packrat's excuse! I need a few of those myself. Mind if I borrow it? :p

I hear that. And the crapstorm that they're describing over the next 36 hours...:rant::sick::smash::frusty::goingcrazy::help: I'd better stay away from Punxatawny, it's hard to say what might happen if I saw that groundhog!

EDIT: Sue, I just saw your reply to my "should I retire" post. You're absolutely right, what a dumb question. I'm putting wheels in motion to make a change of some kind. Exactly what it will be remains to be seen, but what it will not be is full time. Here we go.....

Glad you made it home safely Dave:thumbsup:. Ice can be a real challenge driving. Driving in inclement weather sure makes retirement look real appealing :D...doesn't it.

Raining here now and supposed to turn to snow this afternoon with possible 4" to 8". I'm tired of this weather:(...

Thank God for spare parts Mike. The missus always tells me I need to get rid of "some junk" I have in the basement. I just tell her it's my junk and you never know when you will need it. Hope you can get to the shed to get the drive cable. Take care. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

When it is slippery out and I have to slow down, I use the transmission to slow me down. I have a 6 MT, but do the same if I am driving an Auto as well. Going down hills, it controls the speed better then braking.

Good post on the ABS system Dave; I don't like it and would rather take my chances with conventional brakes.

:woot:Chalk one up for Sue on the retirement post! :humble::humble:

This winter certainly seems to have a hold on us! No snow for us up here on the Erie Lake Shore. It all went south of us. In fact, it has been mid-30's for two days! Have a good day everybody!

It sure is. I grew up in New Brunswick and left when I joined the Air Force in 77. Got posted to Greenwood in Nova Scotia in 78 and have not left yet. I plan on living here the rest of my life as I love it here
